Is USA an empire?

They may not want to admit it but I think it's pretty clear. With multiple territories away from the mainland like Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Etc. and even spreading their militaries in different countries taking matters into their own hands, monopolizing the media and currency and promoting democracy. Pretty much like what an empire would do.

Not even close. Those are tiny areas of land that have always been U. S. territories. It's entirely for their benefit, they don't benefit the U. S. at all. Look at what the British Empire was at its weakest for comparison, then realize it was hundreds of times that size at its height. The U. S. does not dominate the media, Britain, France and China do, they do purport to promote democracy around the world but actually believe in communism now, and as for currency, the U. S. has the strongest, but they don't control other countries' policy with it, in fact we take in the dregs of the rest of the world and pay for their support. Very weak argument and poor understanding of politics and history to claim the U. S. is an empire in any sense of the word.

Britain and USA are actually big allies. Like BBC being British, Fox News and YouTube being American and The world speaking English as the universal language. Yeah sure they don't control the other countries policy but just keep calling them evil and police everyone in this world by spreading their army else where taking advantage of the fact that almost everyone speaks English. Also it doesn't matter how small the territories are. Like the Akkadian empire being the smallest one, it's still considered an empire.

Oh, absolutely. Make no mistake. The USA is every bit as much of an empire as anything that came before it.

Yes, the US is an Empire and has been Imperialistic since its birth.

Anti-Colonialist? The US had no issues dismantling Colonial nations and scooping up their colonies.

And now the US feels it has the right to police and dictate the world... Really no different than Britain has done for centuries.

All Empires fall; the US will fall some day too.

So how should the world be united? Under a banner of freedom for people or under a banner of Chinese communist control?

Many people say they want a united world, but no one actually talks about what that will look like. It seems the world population want to remain as is

Many people also wouldn't care much about the world being united. Ofcourse it's always that "communism is evil" propaganda as an excuse to just show superiority because Americans are the one controlling the media.
