Even as they grow weaker, will the U. S. continue to over-expand, making enemies and follow the examples of Rome, Germany, and other failed empires?

US can still continue to grow as a Superpower because of following factors
1. Unlike Rome, US can print money virtually forever unless people stop using dollar in trade.
2. US sphere of influence is strong even in countries where governments hate US but the bureaucrats in those same governments don't. Their children and wives love US a lot and so much that they are responsible for funding US revenues and strengthening US. It's a self catalyzing phenomenon you will understand. We have top military 🎖️ generals but their children will be somewhere in US Ivy league, or wife shopping in streets of New York. Judges sending their children and wives off to US and saying they have secured their "future".
3. There is also role of the same bureaucracy in giving US an edge because they spend millions on foreign education of their own children. For instance in my country, we pay half a billion dollar for 80,000 children to conduct Cambridge Oxford A and O level exam. And then there is a lot of issues similar to this.
4. 😂We have Ameriphilia from the 1960s even 60 years later that America is a land of opportunities. No doubt it is, but please white Americans are paying the price. All these Pakistanis see a boost in their own earning no doubt. But there is a catch to it.
a. They come to US by getting education which is highly subsidized in my country especially for medical and engineering.
b. They go back to my country for medical treatment and come back to US and other European countries. This has created an arbitrage.
c. The dilemma that we faced in past 5 years was the worst but it's roots are indeed deep. As in people that had nothing took loans to go to US and EU and showed themselves as wealthy. And now they earn and send money back home to their families zero taxed and then government had started to praise them as wow they are better somehow and the Sons of Pakistan who are surviving without the dollars were all losers even if they had 1000 Acres, and super big factories in Pakistan and this discouraged a lot of businesses too.
Anyhow, it will probably take a man like Gorbachev than a man like Trump to weaken USA. It's Biden not Trump that weakened US with his policies.
ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY!! I love hearing these hubristic ignorant deluded - especially MAGA - people talk about American exceptionalism! It takes all of my strength not to simply laugh in their face or walk away knowing that I dodged a bullet and even conversing with them.
I have forgotten more world history than these people will ever know and it's simply absurd to think that American hegemony will last forever!!
History was my favourite subject in school. Rome wasn't a failed empire. Germanic tribes were an enemy of Rome well before the Romans left Italy. The Roman empire was a very successful empire lasting until 1452 when the ottomans finally conquered it. The Romans set their boarders, the problem was that outside their boarders new people's arrived all the time conquering each other because being on the boarder with Rome granted economic riches, these people's were also waiting for weaknesses within the Roman empire to strike. So that could be wars occurring elsewhere, famine, pandemics, civil wars, natural disasters etc. During the gothic invasions there was a volcanic winter which caused a famine due to little sunlight so crops couldn't grow and also plague came from the east wiping out half the population of the empire.
I don't think the us is over expanding, just ensuring their own economy and global stability.
Germany fought two world wars but it had allies too. It's problem was a lack of resources as its enemies Britain, France, Russia and America had staked out most of the world's resources.
America has bases in other countries because it gives them a huge tactical advantage over Russia. I wouldn't be surprised if they push for more bases given the current situation and we return to cold war levels.

Rome, Germany, etc.
The United States of America isn’t interested in world domination if that is what you are suggesting, we are interested in making sure global sovereignty, keeping terrorists at bay, and keeping an eye on the doings of other nations for our self interest.
To remind you about the ‘War On Terror’, between 9/11 and September 2015 America has deployed a total of 2,774,000 individuals & a grand total of 5,452,679 deployments. Clearly there is a correlation there and isn’t about world domination.
Adolf Hitler utilized the fears of poverty stricken German Citizens to rise to power for exploitation to meet his selfish goals of world domination. In America, we could get a figure like that though you would need a Congress to be complacent with it & appease such a brutal tyrant. President can move the troops of course though ONLY Congress can pass motions to declare war on another sovereign nation.
Just wanted to say my piece is all.
When you say USA isn't interested in world domination do you mean the govt or USA corporations?
"Could get a figure like that" LMFAO Check out Trump & MAGA in Congress
You might wanna brush up on the war powers act & Patriot Act
@DrPepper12 What thank you for bringing this to my attention… USA as a whole isn’t in favor of world domination & USA corporate entities too for one.
Number two, Trump has selfish and manipulative goals likes of which Hitler had HOWEVER Trump is interested in enriching himself, looking like a perceived successful billionaire guy, and wants to control the government to stop his chances of going to jail so he can continue to break the law & grow his profits since he only knows manipulation, scare tactics, and intimidation also con artist scheming. He’ll act like a dictator-like strong man in this country though not take on the world also Congress declares war not the President so a majority of Congress would have to be under Trump’s influence & wanting a global domination.
I know the Powers Act & Patriot Act though the reason why we are everywhere around the globe is fighting War On Terror / keeping on the doings of other nations not really Hell Bent for world domination.
If the USA ever falls it will come from internal division (and stupidity) vs external threats.
I read an excellent book called “Blood Money” a few months ago that details just how malevolent, effective and insidious the Chinese Communist Party has been at sowing chaos and division internally in the west particularly in the USA.
They can’t beat us militarily given our technological advantages but they are following Sun Tzu’s Art of War approach. They want to slowly degrade and deteriorate us. This has been going for decades (Chinese operatives were giving American GIs high quality heroine during the Vietnam war). But it absolutely went a step further during the COVID lockdowns.
Highly recommend this book https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Money-Powerful-Blind-Americans/dp/0063061198
The earth is a constant cycle of just plain "empires rise and empires fall and I wish we could all just get along, world peace"
I love world peace ✌🏻🕊️
How weird that Africa is just abandoned by the map of Americans it's like so empty poor Africa/Northern Africa 🌍😳😳😳
Yes. Capitalism demands it. We can't stop making wars because it cuts into profits and profits are more important than everything, including survival.
Isn't capitalism wonderful?
Rome failed because they debased their currency. The Roman Denarius went from 98% silver to 3% silver. The US is doing the same thing.
