You neighbor keeps a cardboard box on their porch for when they cut grass. A nasty storm hits & blows the box into your yard. How do you return it?

I keep this box on my porch to put the garbage into with I'm cutting grass so the bag doesn't fall over and spill. We got a really nasty storm yesterday that blew the box off my porch and it ended up down in the back yard of my neighbor. They've got some kind of a bug up their ass about me, for some reason and never say shit to me!
A lot of trees drop twigs that sometimes end up in their yard, rather than just pick them up and throw them away, they throw them over into MY yard!
Well, they found my box in their yard yesterday and, instead of just bringing it over and putting it on my porch or holding onto it until they saw me (almost daily), they just threw it over into my yard!
At the moment, my back is hurting and I can't go down the hill to get the box so, there's a chance it's gonna blow back into their yard, again! The best way to prevent that would be for them to bring it onto my porch! No?
I've been here for just over 4 years and I haven't said or done ANYTHING to those assholes!! I treat their dogs nice, I treat their grandchildren nice, I even yank a few weekends from their yard if I happen to be doing so in my yard! 3 years ago, they got me into trouble with the law because I had no way to cut the grass!! Had the tables been turned and THEY needed the grass cut and I had mower, and they'd been nice to me, I would've offered to cut it for them!
Anyway, if you were an asshole like that, how would you have returned my box?

Wow FM they're not nice. Mine has you beat tho. Edith and I were friends. She and her boyfriend even mowed my lawn twice a fee years ago when my mower was down. Just the front, I have the back privacy fenced. Well about September of 22 a couple big limbs were broken by the wind and landed on her car and dad's truck. The boyfriend was deported as he liked to get drunk and slap her in front of the kids she told me. Well it totaled her old car and slight damage to the pickup. I heard it at about 5:30am and went out on my porch. Couldn't see well enough yet. Later as the sun came up I found the damage. I called my insurance and sent pictures. I was told it would be submitted. I saw Edith and her friend come home so went to tell her. Her English is thick accented but we communicate pretty well. She said she had full insurance before I got the chance to tell her I turned it in on my home owners. She was happy as was her friend. Well after about a week my insurance said it was an act of God. Anything of mine but not the neighbors. But I had a good neighbors policy and with my approval they offered her a thousand dollars. She got made and cursed the man as she stood at my porch. Then she woke me 4 days in a row in the afternoon as I worked 10-7 nights. By the forth day I fell asleep going to work. Riding with a friend as my car was in the shop. For 4 months and 10 days. She cursed me on the last day. Then sued me in small claims for 5k. My insurance sent lawyers so I didn't have to go. But to this day she has a CT put on me. She hates me now. Go figure. What else could I have done. Pay 5k. It wasn't my fault she didn't have her home owners but her car paid her and she got a nicer car.

No, they aren't! They had no problem with my aunt but, for some reason I guess I'll never know, they seem to hate my guts!! I did NOTHING to provoke, incite or warrant this behaviour from them!

Seems to me we had a neighbor like yours at one point but I can't recall who it was. The woman that lived next door to us, back then, was always quite friendly to us until about a year before I lost my house. All of a sudden, she refused to talk to me, look at me or have anything to do with me! I have no idea, why! If anything, it should've been ME that was pissed at HER! She would leave her grass go for weeks on end, never took care of her lawn and had thousands of dandelions all over the place!! One spot in her back yard, right next to our cyclone fence, was loaded with weeds that she NEVER dealt with and eventually turned into a huge grove of poison ivy that, eventually, started growing along the side of our house, too!!

I have shithead neighbors on both sides where I have my vacation home. I try to be polite and considerate but they are still jerks.

I try and take the high road and I would have just put the box on your porch and be done with it. At my vacation home my neighbor's umbrella got blown off their picnic table and blew into my yard. I just collapsed it and left it on their porch. I could have just let it keep rolling down the street.

Talk to a lawyer about mediation to clear up any confusion. Explain that you have no problem with them and apologize for the box. You want to prevent this simple misunderstanding from spiraling out of control. It will with neighbors. Clearing the air is so much healthier than living with spite next door.

You would've either hung onto it `til you saw me outside or at least tried to come over with the box and ring me up to hand it to me, or even just left it on the porch and told me later that you brought it over and found it in your yard.
The other thing about it is, I keep finding other peoples' junk in my yard but, I don't make a big scene over it! If it's just tumble garbage, I just pick it up and put it into my garbage so, what if that box actually belonged to someone else and ended up in their yard and they just threw it into mine? I don't pick up other peoples' tumble garbage and throw it into the neighbor's yard! THAT'S childish!!

You sound like a terrible neighbor. You are expecting a neighbor to be responsible for your responsibilities. Secure the box so it can't blow away. Anytime you cause a inconvenience for a neighbor due to your negligence you are the one being the bad neighbor. Your responsibilities are your own and no one else's.

Well, if something of theirs ended up in my yard, I'd do the right thing and just go give it back to them unharmed. One of their dogs jumped their fence a year ago and ran up to my porch. All I did was try to coax him to go back over into his yard but, they came over and got him. If that was my dog in their yard, they probably would've kicked or thrown him over the fence! How does that make ME the terrible neighbor? I didn't CAUSE the inconvenience!! The weather did that!! So, now, they've caused an inconvenience to me because I can't go down to the back yard and pick up the box because of my back.

Well, when I first spotted it, it was pissing rain and I wasn't gonna risk walking down that soaked grassy hill to get it in the rain and fall on my ass and hurt my back even more. It's hard enough going down there when it's NOT raining.
Quite a few of the dog owners up here let the dogs bark any time of day or night, no matter when you go to sleep. Nobody bother to train their dogs not to do that shit. Dad did it with all of our dogs and everyone was quite impressed with how they'd just lay in the yard with no tether, they wouldn't bark, they wouldn't run loose, they'd just quietly stay in the yard. All it takes is a stern voice and a rolled up newspaper. Not to hit THEM with but the side of YOUR leg. They don't like the cracking sound. Once they learn, you don't need the paper, anymore.

I'm literally sick of dogs people bring them in the grocery stores now put them up in the shopping carts at my local pharmacy the pharmacist had a big dog behind the counter where the medicine is stored and filled it was dry heaving on the floor ran into a dog nut today in Dollar tree an older lady probably in her 60s had it on a leash it's like what happened people just used to have common sense and knew that dogs don't belong in a store you leave it at home or in the car but now with the whole emotional support animal thing which I call a mental sickness or just an excuse to bring your pet along either way it's zero consideration for your fellow man cuz not everybody's into that and some people are allergic and can't be around them but it's like who cares about those people it's all about what I want I want to bring my dog with me so people have made me hate dogs. And also looking at the data I looked it up it says in the United States there's over 12,000 people attacked by a dog everyday so I've seen countless stories where these dogs attack kids and babies sometimes killing them or just figuring them for life it's like nah they're not our best friend that's a lie from hell. For it to happen as frequently as it does the proofs in the pudding as they say. Cena story where a 68 year old woman over in the UK was mauled to death by her two dogs. These families that this happened to they all say the same thing they're all in shock they can't believe that they don't understand why it happened cuz they love the dog and they treated it good. I just want to say hey DUMB PEOPLE... it's a flipping animal they're unpredictable but that's what happens when you try to live a fantasy of thinking it's a loving member of your family

Again it depends on how you train them (IF you train them, at all!) and probably the breed. I've had dogs all my life and never had a problem with any of them!
Okay, dogs are attacking people but, what's the backstory? Were they being abused?
I've seen dogs in stores, too, recently and they SHOULDN'T be there!! What if two or more people did that and the dogs decided to have a fight as they passed each other? They should NOT be allowed in stores and the people that run the stores should tell the customers that they are NOT gonna be served while the dog is with them! Just like their "no shirt, no shoes, no service" policy!
In the meantime, I've seen WAY more cat attacks. Somebody had their baby sitting on the floor, maybe a year old. The cat comes over to investigate and, for no reason at all, scratches the shit out of the kids face repeatedly in lightning speed!! Shredded it to ribbons in less than a second!! THOSE are INCREDIBLY stupid and dangerous animals!! One thing I can say about dog owners is that 99.99% of them leave the dog in the house or in their yard at night!! Cat owners open the door and let the cat roam all over town all night long!! Suddenly, the world is their cat-sitter!! I'd just assume shoot the worthless little bastards!! And, how many crazy dog ladies are there compared to how many crazy cat ladies there are!! I've NEVER heard of crazy dog ladies but I've seen and known SEVERAL crazy cat ladies!! There was one about 2 miles from here that had to have her house torn down because it was infested with cats and the place was a germ-ridden mess because of the dozens of cats she kept!! I seem to recall she had over 60 of them! The board of health condemned her house and ordered it to be destroyed because it was so far gone!!

I talked with the manager at the store they said they're not allowed to say anything to people if they bring a dog in only thing they're allowed to say is if they put up in the cart like they can tell him they can't have it in the car that's it. I seen dogs on a leash sniffing and licking products on the shelf so a product you buy may have dried dogs snot and slobber on it isn't that appealing? I've seen a lot of these dog attacks and they're from families that love their dog treat it good had it for years never showed any sign of aggression but just one day out of the blue it turned on them severely attacked or sometimes kill the person. I will never trust a dog especially big ones. This one girl she loved her dog so much she made an Instagram page just for the dog she leaned in to give it a kiss it wasn't feeling the same thing she was feeling so it bit part of her face off. She was wanting to be a model so now that's out the window. The story of Jacqueline Duran she's a dog lover and sitter she was bitten over 800 times on a dog sitting gig she even met the dogs first though to make sure they would like her for like an hour with the owner's present that visit went fine they was wagging their tail and everything but when she showed up to feed them and take him for a walk they viciously attacked her she's now unrecognizable. They said the dogs bit her over 800 times then when the cops show up they wait 37 minutes before they move in to help her it's like you cowards they was like talking with her as she laid on the floor unable to even move because of the attack, asking her like are the dogs calm down are they still biting you? It's like that is lame you're there to protect and help her not be namby-pamby wussies

On the same token, I've seen PEOPLE pick their nose or use the bathroom without washing their hands, afterwards, and then handle things the general public has to deal with. There are certain things, like shopping cart handles, cue sticks, amusement park rides, money, etc, where, if I handle them, I just feel like my hands are dirty. I want to wash them as soon as I'm done dealing with those items.
Maybe something those girls did spooked the dog. My ex-sister had a dog, a crock-a-poo, she never bothered to train it so, it shit, pissed and puked all over the house! Usually, it was OUR house!! My niece was over, one day, picked Trevor up and he snarled and snapped at her! We discovered that it was because she touched him in a certain area. ANYONE that touched him there would get snapped at by him! After he snapped at her, they had him put to sleep!! She paid at least $350 for that dumb dog!! He was only about a year old when they killed him! Kiss THAT $350 goodbye!! We NEVER paid for a dog! It was always somebody's puppies and we were allowed to take one. I've dealt with DOZENS of dogs in my life and Trevor was the ONLY one that ever gave us any shit!! My shoes are bigger than him! Probably smarter than him, too!! You couldn't FIND a dog that dumb!
