This election should be about the economy as that affects everything and it is getting bad out there for so many people, mostly the poor Biden voters.

Things are not looking good for Biden. Not at all.
But it’s not over until Lizo sings (hopefully she sings in horror).
No I'd like Trump
We can't last for 4 more years of this.
Biden is just the puppet. I told a gal on here that I want to move to Mexico. Come with me. We can teach English in Cabo.
I know a husband and wife that moved to Cabo. Between the two of them they make about 3 K per month. They get free food and lodging in a fancy resort. I can't imagine getting closer to heaven than that.
Thanks for the MHO.

I want an electorate intelligent enough to understand that the President doesn't control the economy. Can we get that, please?
Then why does the White House and Biden call it Bidenomics?
www.whitehouse.gov/.../
Because he's a disgustingly anti-Constitutional President who wants his prior record, which would in saner times have seen him put on trial for treason, ignored.
Bear in mind I'd also like a PRESIDENT smart enough to know the President doesn't control the economy, but I'm trying to be realistic here.
Quite a few- but in terms of effect on the economy, they absolutely pale in comparison to those done by the state governors who bear the lion's share of the blame for the terrible state the economy's in- and even the members of Congress who bear the fox's. Biden's relatively blameless on that count, but THAT is what he catches flak for, which makes his opponents look all the more unreasonable.
@NamerOfStars it is mostly true that the government can’t “fix” the economy. But the government can definitely SCREW UP the economy by:
- Skyrocketing corporate tax rates which discourages growth and production.
- Crushing domestic oil production which skyrockets energy costs. Increasing energy costs are a MAJOR factor in inflation. It gets factored into everything. Businesses have to increase prices to remain profitable.
- Passing bills to spend money we don’t have on what most Americans don’t want or need. The most egregious example is the Biden administration using taxpayer money to “forgive” student loan debt. It’s disgusting that people who didn’t go to college and/or worked hard to pay off their own student loan now have to pay more in taxes for people who voluntarily took out student loans.
@blueonblack22 Do you similarly object to people who don't have kids have to pay for schools? Or who don't drive have to pay for roads? Or who "worked hard" to take care of their own housing have to pay to shelter those who didn't?
College kids who took out insane amounts of student loan debt to end with s worthless degree made a LEGAL ADULT decision to do so.
The number one issue I have with student loans is they are federally backed which was a VERY BAD idea. Private banks would never lend $80k to $160k+ to a 18 year old pursuing a fine arts degree. They might lend that to somebody pursing a career in the STEM field because they know they are much more likely to land a higher paying job after graduating.
Funny you brought up that example above because I bought a house in a area that had very high property taxes which goes to nearby public schools. I am paying for young kids to get educated and I know many of their parents aren’t paying any property taxes at all.
I am not against that in principle. Primary education is EXTREMELY important. I think poor funding in public education is a major contributor to the problems we see in at risk neighborhoods that have large minority populations.
But this money better be going to education that teaches kids how to read, write and do arithmetic. Not to teach them about gay/trans education bullshit.
Speaking of which WHY IS NOBODY QUESTIONING THE COLLEGES THEMSELVES ON WHY THEY HAVE OUTRAGEOUS TUITION RATES? Why? Why is nobody putting colleges on the hot seat on how they offer college kids so many worthless degrees? They are supposed to prepare young people to succeed in the world. But in reality it’s a huge money grubbing scam.
I’m a college grad by the way. I paid off all my student loans on my own by riding a bicycle for two years and not owning a car.
