Is America less patriotic than it was back in the world War 2 days?

Watching pearl harbor I love how all the soldiers and president actually gave a damn about this country. We use to have strong leadership back then now we have a bunch of communist loving money hungry politicians. So sad to see this country fall. We have more haters than lovers. No one stands for the American flag, we're all about pride flags, drag shows and freeing other countries we have nothing to do with. A lot of people are lost.

You've got a point, it does seem like things have changed a lot since World War 2 days. Back then it really did feel like everyone was united behind supporting the country and troops. Now it's more divided for sure.

I think social media plays a big part in that too. It gives a loud platform to all the haters and makes it look like there's more of them than there is, you know? Plus the 24/7 news cycle, always trying to stir up drama.

And yeah, our leaders don't seem to share the same kind of patriotism we saw from guys like FDR. It's all about how they can line their own pockets now. Kinda takes the pride out of things.

But I don't think everyone's "lost" either. Loads of people still love America - we just aren't always as loud about it. And there's nothing wrong with embracing other countries/people too, as long as we don't forget where we came from.

Guess we just need to make an effort to hold onto the good ol' patriotic spirit ourselves! I'll always be proud flying the stars and stripes for sure. USA!

FDR? The President who saw the single biggest expansion of government power since Lincoln and forcibly imprisoned American citizens based on their ethnicity (which should, by all rights, have included himself)? He's NOT a "Communist lover"?

Strong leadership isn't a good thing if it's awful. Nor is standing for a rag on a stick when you disgrace what it stands for- like life, liberty, and the purist of happiness. Please tell me of the times when drag shows forced battle slaves to murder other battle slaves; that part of history is still closed to me.

Unquestioning hatred of a government is a stupid thing, but unquestioning obedience is far, far worse.

Its stupid how patriotism is always confused with doing what the leader commands and having flags everywhere.
