Opinion on Abortion?

Hello everyone. I was just wondering what your opinions are about abortion. My opinion is it's wrong but do it if you feel like it's best to you. I also feel like men should not be making laws about abortion because they are not women and they don't have to carry a child for 9 months. I also think that men should not have a say in women's bodies or abortion. The woman gets the final say if she gets an abortion. What do u guys think?

The current law allows it and it appears to work fairly well.
Yes men need to be involved as the legal framework is fairly male dominated and trying to have some weird gender legal framework would be stupid and far to complicated, as law is incredibly complex as it is. You then have the entire voting through Parliament and the House of Lords.
Next is the need for two doctors, this entire process works and changing it to remove men would be fairly stupid.

also not saying men have a say is also fairly stupid in some cases, a married couple where birth control has failed for some reason (stomach upset etc), then it is the couples decision, as both will be raising their child or not.
For situations where not married and not common law status then yeah the girl has the greatest say.

My biggest thing is that religion should never ever be used as a reason concerning abortion. When it is, then it’s wrong, as it’s like saying the Queen of the fairies will be upset if we allow something to happen.

it needs to be medical, legal, psychological reasoning for the law and the process to approve or not.

I think getting an abortion is completely up to the woman. However it shouldn't be used as some sort of birth control.
If you have sex, use birth control and if needed the morning after pill.
Yes the choice is up to woman if she wants an abortion, but at least to to your partner about it and don't be mad if your partner want to break up if you do. A man wishing for a child and you terminating one can be heartbreaking. But in the end the choice is definitely in a woman's hands.
As for the laws, they should be all thrown out the window except for the right to abortion. If anything it should be easier and more accessible.

the thing is half of the issues people have with abortions could be dealt with with better sexual education and increased access to contraception.
but its easier to label the woman a slut or murderer than make social progress.
it's also ironic how little care is given to a kid after they've been popped out. USA throwing a tantrum over women aborting, but can't even keep the kids already born safe in their schools...

it's down to each individual. i don't agree with them using it as "birth control" over other options.

I have no opinion worth wild since I’m a guy, what I do believe is this… Little girls, teenage adolescents, and women all deserve the right to choose as an individual what is best for them. I have no opinion on if abortion is bad or good, that is up for the female. Most of the time medical complications, rape, SA, incest, pressure from the sex craving partner, etc. Other times poor financial and poor mental health are a contributing factor in opting out of having a baby in the future. I believe you should have a child once you are in good financial standings and good mental health, make sure it is with a partner who will stand by you / you trust with your baby, that is just my opinion after all though, you do you.

Again, Pro Choice goes to the woman. I would never want that choice to be stripped away and banned indefinitely, you can make restrictions like 15 week limit however no nation wide bans or persecution of women who go out of state to seek refuge from rape, SA, etc.

The reason abortion is wrong is because it is taking a human life, which could be a male or a female. So saying men shouldn't have any influence over laws is very disingenuous.

Also, the whole "my body, my choice" thing is bullshit because a woman's choice to have an abortion rarely has anything to do with her body. Studies show the vast majority who choose abortion do so for reasons like a child would get in the way of their career or education, they are not in a stable relationship with the father, they can't afford to raise a child or they simply are not ready to be a parent. In other words, "my life, my choice". But feminists can't acknowledge that because it would open up a huge can of worms for them because they are all the same reasons a man might choose to not become a parent.

if you're gonna have that belief women can choose whether a baby lives or dies

men should be allowed that option to completely abandon a pregnant woman and her baby without repercussion

long story short, either both parents are allowed to reject parenthood or neither parent is allowed to do so

Of course men should have a say in such an important question concerning whole society. You do not need to be someone else to have a valid opinion on something. Like you do not need to have car to vote traffic related issues in your neighbourhood or be a teacher to have a say about education program.

That said I believe abortion is a murder and should be punished the same as normal crime. Killing people is evil. Why make an exception here?

I think it is immoral outside of cases of SA or a health risk. I would rather the child be murdered early on than be brought into a world where the parents don't want them.
