Khrushchev softened Soviet horrors. I mean they were still a harsh dictatorship after 1954. Just not as deadly to Russians.
What will change after Putin kicks, I wonder. He has no real heir apparent…Medvedev is kinda “Putinist”. A bit like Khrushchev was to Stalin.
