Joe Biden just threatened gun owners. He said he has F-15s that will kill all the gun owners in America.

+1 yNot sure what you’re referring to, unless it’s what he said in 2021 about F-15s and such.
If that’s what you’re talking about, it’s not a threat, it’s a statement of fact meant to counter the “the people need guns to stop a tyrannical government” idea.
The disqualifying issue to all that is that, in 2024, there’s no group of civilians armed with only guns on the planet who could mount ANY sort of military action towards much less potent militaries, let alone America’s. All 300 million of us can’t take down the US government, even if we really wanted to. We just don’t have weaponry needed to be even a little competitive.
Technology of modern warfare has rendered guns of all sorts absolutely irrelevant in terms of being able to “win” using guns alone. You couldn’t win with guns alone 100 years ago. Look at how we take out these terrorist organization leaders nowadays…. they send in a drone that exploded or fires out sharp projectiles…. space age shit. We have NO CHANCE, lmao, and it’s at a point where the only play is to lay back and take it, not that I feel the least bit subjected to anything I could describe as “tyranny” while keeping a straight face. The biggest right wing militia group in America will be wiped out in MINUTES by the real military. Like 3/4 of these groups are just military wannabes who couldn’t hack it, “I wanted to enlist, but I my astigmatism…”😂😂😂 These aren’t legitimately trained fighters, these are guys LARPing as soldiers, taking target practice in the woods.
But Joe is right, ONE F-15 is all takes. It’s not a threat, it’s an attempt at rational conversation, and dispelling the idea that semi-automatic and automatic rifles have any place in a civilized society.
The immediate objection is “but the 2nd amendment! But tyrannical governments!”, but the sad reality Constitutionalists need to radically accept is that that document was written with a fucking feather by candlelight and is no longer perfectly relevant to the modern world, inarguably the most rapid period of global societal change in human history. The difference between 1576 and 1776 probably wasn’t that huge. The differences of the world between 1776 and 2024, or even 1976 if you like, are absolutely astronomical, so we’re fucked, and honestly stupid, if we don’t adjust to EXTREMELY different times. Like name me any non-natural phenomenon that’s still accurate today like it was over 250+ years ago.
You always have to be rolling and adjusting in life, the only constant is change. “Traditions” or anything based on “but we’ve done this for a long time” are not necessarily good or prudent things.
Knowing Biden, I’m sure this line was delivered like “C’MON, MAN! You can’t compete with an F-15!”, just trying to talk sense with people holding onto dusty old principles simply because they think it justifies them getting/keeping what they want, and not “All of you motherfuckers with guns buckle up, cuz I’m comin’ for that ass!”🙄😂
Bottom line: no one is coming to kill anyone, so this is much ado about nothing and trying to push the idea that anything the government calls for is tyranny, to appeal to Libertarians, etc.

I would still rather own a gun in the future. Than not own one. Its just a unique priviledge to have
- +1 y
@WhiteBoyChill yeah, I mean, I’m not really big on guns in general, and I feel like we, as humans, should have better values and standards than thinking it’s cool to kill other people over non-violent or violent-but-not-lethal situations. Like if the offense wouldn’t get you the death penalty if you went the long way and arrested, charged, tried, and convicted a suspect, I think it’s just logically preposterous to suggest John Q. Public should be allowed to make a snap decision to dispense the death penalty.
Very important but unpopular thing to remember and keep at the forefront of all decisions like this: the average human is an absolute idiot who cannot be trusted to make sound societal decisions, lmao. I wish that wasn’t the case, but 45 years of living and observing humanity leads me to strongly believe otherwise. Additionally, I think people are misinterpreting the spirit of the idea of “freedom.” It’s not just “do whatever you want, it’s America”, you know? - +1 y
@WhiteBoyChill All that said, equally preposterous is any ideas that we can just make guns disappear, or round them all up. Just never going to practically be accomplished.
I think we’re just finding that certain guns are too much to trust to civilians. Everyone’s a “responsible gun owner” til they aren’t. I bet a lot of the people in trouble for erroneous “self-defense” shootings, like the old guy that shot the kid for knocking on his door mistakenly, or the guy who shot the girl turning around in his driveway, or the guys who chased down and murdered Ahmaud Arbery for jogging while black…. I bet they all at one point have claimed to be a law-abiding, responsible gun owner, the ones who SHOULD be armed, lest “only outlaws will have guns.”
So whatever people say, you can’t really take it that seriously. Those are all indicators of why guns in the hands of civilians are problematic, but I don’t think any of those cases involved auto/semi-auto weapons, I think it’s been pistols and shotguns and standard rifles. I don’t think anyone is really thinking those will be realistically taken away, we’re just trying to keep battlefield weapons off the streets, because you don’t need them as a civilian, and in the hands of the wrong person, the consequences are just too devastating. I’ll never forget watching that Buffalo supermarket shooter’s GoPro video of the killings. The speed and ease with which he was killing…. we just can’t give randos that kind of stopping power. There will be a million bad incidents with them before even one instance of them saving the day occurs. So maybe we just keep it to certain guns and you can join the military if you want to play with high-powered toys. - +1 y
I mean, so long as there’s going to be other idiots with guns, I might as well have the means to fight back.

I’m not necessarily a crazy gun guy either but sometimes I still feel like just admiring the style and engineering

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yimportant points: each state has a National Guard that works for the PEOPLE, not the government. So in theory, they would be activated to defend us rather than go against us. So that right there, gives the people access to military grade vehicles and weapons in defense of a joe biden who pooped his pants.
Another fun fact: in 2019, Oregon senators walked out of a meeting where they would have been forced to take place in an unconstitutional vote. They fled to Idaho after threats of "force" from the tyrannical democrats, and were protected by those same citizens with guns that the idiots on here claim would have no affect against angry joe's big government. That's just one example of how guns DO, HAVE, and WILL CONTINUE to be a factor in stopping tyranny in the United States.
Another juicy morsel for you, is during the covid lockdowns. There were places built, and democrap calls to lock people up in "containment camps" who refused to get the covid shot. There was also a push to send government "agents" door to fucking door, to "persuade" those who haven't gotten the shot. The reason that didn't happen is because they knew the people still had the means to fight back. End of discussion. But I'm sure some angry tards will lose their shit over my actual factuals here. 😁

+1 yAs far as I know, that's not what he said. He said you can't use a gun to fight a country that you would need an F-15. Can you give a link to something showing he actually made that threat or is it something someone else said that Biden said? That's how false ideas spread, like the old kids game "telephone". If you can give a reliable source for that claim, I really want to see it, please, because I always want to know the truth of what actually happened or what was actually said. I would appreciate knowing. Thanks.

- +1 y
@Red_Arrow And, by the way, if they want to think they — it’s to take on government if we get out of line, which they’re talking again about — well, guess what? They need F-15s. They don’t need a rifle.

It's actually the second time he's said since he was president.

@OlderAndWiser Biden would. He is a religious man. Trump does not even know which way is up on the Bible.

@Red_Arrow "Biden wouhld. He is a religious man." Really? "Pope Francis has described it as an "incoherence" that President Joe Biden, a Catholic, is in favor of legal abortion." www.catholicnewsagency.com/.../pope-francis-incoherence-biden-supports-abortion-rights
And. . . what is the connection between his religious beliefs and being senile? - +1 y
@Red_Arrow Are you going to condemn him for saying it or make excuses?

@Wallythewalrus2 That was a 20 minute speech on the terrible injuries and deaths that the gun industry is supporting. Kids are dying in schools left and right. Biden is trying to get rid of loopholes that allow guns to be sold without background checks, that allow assault style weapons for anybody, that slow down investigations into individuals and groups who are connected with gun violence., and that do not punish parents whose children are killed by household guns that the parents refuse to lock up. The only reference to an F-15 was in telling people who are stupid enough to want to use weapons to fight government organizations like ATF that they would need an F-15. Nowhere did he even suggest that he would send F-15s to kill gun owners. You guys are really getting stupid.
- +1 y
@Red_Arrow lol You wanted a link and I gave you one! By the way, as I said before, that's the second time he said that since he's been president. Whether that's how he truly feels isn't for either one of us to guess. I just wonder if you feel the same way about Trump jokingly saying he's gonna be a "dictator" from day one?
- +1 y
@Red_Arrow lol If who goes to war with what country?
- +1 y
@Red_Arrow You're so angry! lol Is it because you thought him saying something so stupid wasn't true? Just "Fox bullshit"? Then when I left you a link proving he said it, you did what I thought you would, make excuses? He clearly said if the supporters of the 2nd Amendment think they can "take on the government... well guess what? They need F-15's. They don't need rifles". Does he mean it? No. Is it extremely stupid for the POTUS to say? Yes but you don't seem to think so. That's fine.

+1 yPresident Biden never said that though….
Okay in this hypothetical we are choosing to ignore a chain of commands that goes from President’s order to people who carry out the order. Ignoring all basic reason, logic, and moral standings of Biden & my own….
Probably get rid of my gun so, I don’t end up on the hit list lol. Sure sure I’ll sacrifice my family’s lives all for the sake of keeping a hand on one gun. That makes no sense.

u +1 yPresident Biden used common sense against the usual gun nuts who like to argue how they want to be able to „defend themselves against the government“. If the government comes after you, no amount of weapons will help you and your sect, if anything it will only hasten your perishing. Ask David Koresh, Randy Weaver or any other self-declared resistance fighter.

It was on the news this morning. Brandon was giving a speech to an anto gun group. I think he went a little off script and tried to do an imitation of Dirty Harry. I expected him to face the camera and address all the conservative gun owners and say "Do you feel lucky today? Well, do ya punk"

What news? You do know an F15 is an aircraft right? I see no reference to an F15 here anyway...

@northerngal Biden was speaking with a group that is trying to end gun violence, especially against children. He spoke of tightening laws, more training for protective groups, parents locking weapons in approved gun cabinets, etc. He mentioned those who want to use weapons to take on government organizations like the ATF as being stupid to take on a government organization with F-15s. Exitseven and others were making up ridiculous imaginative scenarios of Biden sending fighter jets after them.
