Yes. Especially if you're talking about clean8ng one gun repeatedly. You should only clean your gun after every few weeks. Especially if you're using a wire down the barrel because it scratches the inside overtime which effects stability of your rounds.

Sounds like it. I think that you only need to clean it after every 1000 rounds. So unless you are operating something like a SAW M249; you shouldn't be going through that many rounds in a day.

Yes & no. Yes, a firearm doesn't need to be cleaned that often. No since now you know how to clean it in your sleep in the middle of a dark forest which could be a valuable skill one day.
