It is kind of weird that trump has got middle class white men wishing they were lower class white men just so they could go back to using a little less of their brain. Something along the lines of "They told us going to college meant doing less work for more pay but they didn't tell us thinking was going to be the work. And thinking is real easy when it's for yourself. But thinking on behalf of others (which is the job: think on behalf of your employer) is absolutely exhausting. I miss when work resulted in something you could look at."
Of course they think all of that in a second - barely a notable emotion anymore, but that's the emotion that trump stuck his wormed hook into, pulled out a suckerfish, and is wearing their scales like armor (which they decided to mistake for being an honor, as the alternative was remembering the glaring insecurity they are covering).

Trump doesn't come with "policies" - he can't think his way out of a paper bag. These are darts being thrown at the wall by his campaign staffers to see which ones stick. Remember a week or so ago when he said he'd stop taxes on tipped employees? The restaurant folks laughed him out of the park. Who do you think has been voting against that idea for the last 30 years? Hmmm... Republicans maybe? LOL

He and his staff are at the "say anything, promise anything, tell 'em what they wanna hear, they'll never remember" stage. Just sit back - the promises are going to get worse, and funnier.

It seems a bit crazy tbh, not well thought through at all. The Chinese government will be rubbing their hands, that’s circa 300,000 Chinese students that would get a green card, which would mean they are allowed to get jobs where ITAR compliance is required.

I have to give Trump credit for flexibility, he isn't stuck in a rigid mindset, yet I also believe he's wholly incapable of turning around the situation the US is in. Somebody needs to tell him, "look, nearly every single economist agrees that a huge economic crash is coming, it's when not if. Why would you want to be President during some of the darkest years this country will experience?".

Well I didn't know his exact position on exceptions for criminal aliens. Most politicians have some sort of exception so they can garner the vote from that group or they believe merit should allow them to cut in line a bit.
