When voting for a candidate, how important is intelligence to you?

On one hand, intelligence should be critical. On the other hand, lots of people tend to discard it when voting. What do you think?

Intelligence is critical. It may be the most important thing I look for in a candidate.

Intelligence matters, but it is not the most important thing to me.

Honestly, it does not really matter much. There are many more important things that I look for.

Climate Change is man made via too much Co2 being pumped into the atmosphere since the Industrial Revolution. This year we pumped the most Co2 into the air than decades prior. We should be reducing our foot print and making changes to reverse the damage.

January 6th was an unlawful entry into the Capitol building via smashing windows, climbing through said windows, and stopping a government proceeding.

Tariffs & Mass Deportations would significantly TANK the US Economy based on historical data and common sense. Tariffs drive up local costs from imported goods so, you spend more for less. Mass deportations get rid of a low skilled cheap labor work force in this country for Capitalists to strive at the poor’s expense, without that our economy will tank.

China is close to becoming the leading money standard, IF that were to happen America would default on ALL its debt. It is from decades of not paying back to countries we owe, Trump added the most debt and once Biden’s administration’s 2nd term were to finish it would have added equal debt to 1 term of Trump’s administrative run.

The facts matter so, we can steer ahead to a better world and a more perfect Union. We can’t have that when we don’t agree on the most basic of truths.

Surprisingly, not very. I recognize that candidates are not actually the brains of the operation, they are just the public figurehead. Every serious candidate will have their own staff of advisors and experts which are the actually smart people. I am voting for their vision and their ability to make it happen with the assumption being they will have whatever expert advice that they need behind the scene.

It's part of the reason I won't vote for either candidate in November. They don't need to be geniuses because there are many advisors to fill in the gaps but not being senile is helpful and a reality tv businessman with no knowledge of world politics isn't good either.
