I'd like to think we're better than that, but I'm not so sure. I wish we can somehow learn to stop hating each other so damn much. We all have different ways of seeing the world, and none of them are going to cause the end of the world as we know it. But civil war would, obviously. We should all do our best to stop hating our fellow people. It doesn't help anything.

No. For all the talk of civil wars there simply are no people with the organizational and leadership skills that are willing to mobilize the movement. The "troops" might be there and willing but without someone to lead them they will just sit on their hands.. as they have always done..

Because the repub candidate is dead, leaving no option for the right to win an election. And after believing the election was stolen last time, the path to escalation is much shorter. Or even the right "removing" Biden to even the odds, which then ignites a bigger response from the left. A million options. But your defensive position kind of proved my point from the beginning.

No one wins in a civil war. Even the victorious side. It's hell for everyone. Also, you have to consider that the military will fracture along political lines, then foreign militaries will take sides. It would never just be citizens v citizens.

I don;t know if we would have a real civil war but there will be a lot more violence and i do not think the left will be happy with the result.
