What do you think of men who lie to avoid military service?

I am Turkish and military service is still compulsory here. I lied to avoid military service

Once upon a time I tried to join the military myself... Conscription had been the year before in the Netherlands, so signing up myself was the only way to have a chance at joining the military. Lucky I got rejected, not because I wasn't good enough... others were simply better.

Now I am firmly opposed to the military because the military has lost its primary function... defending a country... and is now being abused more and more to enforce the will of the 'Establishment' onto the world.

Would war break out in the UK, and they try to draft me... I will probably desert and might even join the 'enemy' (The 'enemies' of the UK government are not my enemies; the allies of the UK government are)

well would a person want a person who really didn't want to be there to back them up i rather have a person willingly be there as backup since the first guy might run and hide but military is more tech so just grabbing a warm body is rarely needed one exception if your country is invaded like Putin's army all hands should be fighting or aiding the fight and the only exception i would ever want females at the front , in ww2 the woman in factories were more important than having women on front lines

Conscripts with zero moral and skill have no place at specialized battlefield, or they are just meat for the meat grinder. I find only people who want fight should fight. If no one wants to fight or no one can fight it's time to surrender.

I mean, I personally believe in strictly voluntary service in the first place so I am perfectly fine with that. Why would you even want someone in the military who does not want to be there in the first place? Sounds like wasted resources if you ask me that could be used to uplift someone that actually has potential.

I used to really despise people that do that but now that I am older I am glad none of my kids expressed any interest in the military. I would haemte to see one of them come home in a body bag for some stupid war that we have no stake in. If Democrats get elected our kids will be going to Ukraine.

As a man I am so against forcing men into military subscription. If I were you I would move to a place like the United States where they don't force you to join the military and fight in a country you can't even find on a map.

I don't blame you for being a military evader because Erdogan, your leader, is a tyrant.

I support conscientious objectors' principled decision not to participate in wars because they loathe killing in all its forms. (Muhammad Ali was not a true conscientious objector;he objected to the Vietnam War because it was not specially ordered by Allah or the Lost-Found Nation Of Islam's "Messenger," Elijah Muhammad.)

Personally I don't think it should be forced on men so I wouldn't look down on you.

In my country it's not forced unless in wartime, I like this since I would fight to defend my country/people /family/friends, but not to become my country's disposable dog. Not as much as America and Russia but my country also interferes with other countries affairs on occasion and wouldn't risk my neck for them.

If u go in the military n u survive a war u could b crippled/blind. If you're in a wheelchair u can't walk. Walkin 20-30 min. a dy. decreases your chances of getting diabetes which is uncureable. Being blind can make life hard 4u.
