What are y'alls thoughts on women who falsely accuse of rape/sexual assault?

They should serve time equal to the crime they are falsely accusing someone of.

Murder should get life in prison

Rape should get 10 years hard time

Assault/Battery should get 5 to 8 years hard time

and so on.

They literally fake their testimony to try to totally ruin a man's life and at times are even trying to have him executed, so yeah, by all means they should be punished equal to the original crime's punishment.

That goes for every liar who falsely accused Tiger Woods, and every liar who falsely accused Bill Cosby (They took the pills willingly, and later admitted that,) and so on for every other false accuser.

The Bible has a similar law, whereby if ANYONE, including the Prosecuting Attorney and the Judge falsely accuse the defendant of ANYTHING without real evidence, they owe the accused a penalty, usually a 4-fold penalty in the Bible, because they are usually trying to have the defendant murdered by the court.

If a woman is PROVEN to have made a false rape accusation, she should serve 10 years in prison, which is the average time a convicted rapist serves.

The problem is that it's VERY difficult to prove a negative. When a rape charge is dopped it's usually due to lack of evidence, not because there is evidence the accuser lied. Detectives know it's virtually impossible to prove the accuser lied, so they rarely spend the time and resources to pursue a false rape charge. That's why there are so many false rape accusers who never pay for their crime.

I think they should serve jail time BUT my issue is if a man is found not guilty that doesn't aways mean he's innocent, it just means the prosecution has failed to make a case. This could lead to victims not only see their attacker get away with it but face the prospect of going to jail themselves.

I think less rape victims would come forward out of fear things could be twisted around. You'd need safeguards to prove they actually did falsely accuse.

Victims find it hard to come forward because many people don't believe them, would rather protect the rapist. And if you get checked for rape, that's super invasive.

There's also the problematic areas in different cltures where they don't believe you can be raped in a relationship.
And some don't believe it's rape if it's not the violent kind from a stranger in the bush or something.

And so many other things, also the trauma the victim experiences.

It's already difficult for a victim to say anything, and those who falsely accuse make it harder for real victims to be believed.
It's horrible and my heart bleeds by the thought of all the injustice when it comes to any kind of rape.

Obviously they should serve time equal to the crime. But this goes for all false accusers, in my opinion. The penalty for malicious prosecution varies by state but then there are a lot of cases where someone was found guilty of rape and just had to pay a fine. So, if we're calling that a fair punishment for rape then it is a fair punishment for falsely accusing someone of rape.
