And of course, if Trump loses, it is only because of voting fraud and the rigging of the election, right?
1.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Not sure how you can ask such a question after we had to listen to and watch that horrible looking "Mueller" rant and rave about "Russia, Russia, Russia"- and Hillary echoing the "Russian Collusion" mantra the next for years and the millions spent on trying to prove that the Russians (?) helped Trump win the election?
Then the "vast right wing conspiracy" that Clinton echoed for so long
How soon people like yourself and other Democrats FORGET what we listened to for four years, and then you are so sanctimonious, as to pose a question about Republicans 'believing that the only fair election is one that Trump wins.
In light of that, had dare you sir make such an assertion?

1 ywhy is it that the presidential election doesn't matter at all? because the popular vote doesn't matter. yet our electoral college that we also vote on have nothing more than a sign in a few lawns? and if you don't care about politics and are easily influenced by media then you're going to end up with some bad politicians representing you.
we should really do something about this. i want to vote for someone that represents me and will choose who i want for president. but that gets me thinking. that doesn't really support a two party system does it? it's time to change the two party system for good!
we need more people to help our country as independents. why do we have lawyers running this country? shouldn't economists?

Anonymous(36-45)1 yNot all Republicans, just the die hard MAGA Republicans who are very vocal and makes up a small percentage of the party. It's beyond me how fellow Republicans blindly support every outlandish thing Trump says and does. In the end, the majority of Republicans voting for Trump are really no different than the majority of Democrats who vote Blue no matter. Stayed home in 2020 as I couldn't bring my self to voting for the conman, will not be voting for the conman this election either as I'll be voting for Kennedy. Don't agree with Kennedy on everything, but he's 10x better than Trump, and is the only candidate who's been spot on about the Ukraine war that's pushing us ever closer to nuclear war with Russia.

Opinion Owner1 yThat's your opinion, and I respect your right to have that opinion, just like it's my opinion that Kennedy is better then Trump and Harris who both directly and indirectly support the Ukraine war.

Anonymous(36-45)1 yThe only fair election is a verifiable election. Not one conducted via black-boxes.
You will never know who wins or loses otherwise. Regardless I am not expecting a fair election either way. The only question is will either win by enough to leave no doubt.021 Reply
Opinion Owner1 yThe old fashion way, in person voting with observers of both parties to verify the votes were cast by the people who intended them.
Verified & crossed referenced registration to insure that nobody is voting in more than 1 place. That is suppose to take months if not a year to do which is why same day registration isn't possible.- 1 y
Aside from the expense that is wildly impractical. Nobody is going to spend the time and money just to satisfy the delusions and manipulations of an old angry man. There has never been any election fraud of any magnitude in this country, and that has been shown over and over by the audits you people have forced. It won't happen again.

I just realized that what you people really mean by verifiable election is no election at all. You simply want the supreme Court or some other body to appoint Trump as president and you would be quite happy with that actually. You don't care about democracy. All you care about is elevating your cult leader.
Opinion Owner1 y@msc545 Lots of states spend the necessary time and money conducting elections like that, and have for a 100 years.
Vote by mail, and lose registration practices are a relatively new invention. Pushed in the name of simply "increasing voter turn out" by making it easier for lazy people who can't be troubled to think about the election enough to go to their local county clerk to register.
Its a wonder the result was elections not only far easier to steal but far less focused on any particular policy detail as a larger share of the voters who couldn't be trouble to register to vote on time also couldn't be troubled to figure out what they were voting on.- 1 y
All you have are solutions in search of a problem, except that the real problem driving this is the one you won't speak about. Like all Republicans you believe that if too many vote you we will lose. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but if it is, it is probably because an awful lot of people can't stand your authoritarian policies. The truth is that no election in the United States has ever been provably stolen by anyone. The multiple attempts by the Republican party to prove that this has been true have all turned up false.
Opinion Owner1 y@msc545 Again if you don't conduct the election in a verifiable way, you really can't prove it either way. The needed information was never collected. As such anyone COULD still an election if they wanted and we would have no way of knowing.
Given the people most likely to gain from stealing said elections also happen to make their rules and run them, It would be more surprising if they didn't try to cheat a little. This is why election processes have to be transparent and verifiable. Otherwise we really have no idea what happened behind closed doors.
You need to look up the definition of the word "Authoritarian" this doesn't very much relfect the platform of the republican party.
"Characterized by or favoring absolute obedience to authority, as against individual freedom. "
Republicans don't exactly want to force everyone in every state to throw their retirement into a ponzi scheme, or let politicians dictate how to finance their healthcare services and thus what services are available.
Nor did republicans insist upon laws and regulations demanded obedience a vast array of goverment regulations ranging from the size of your toilet , nature of your energy, way you build your house, how you raise your kid, what you can sell your labor for etc...
But you think They are the Authoritarian ones? Prove it, have democrats propose a bill to drop all federal domestic regulations.
Opinion Owner1 y@msc545 An assertion is only evidence of your unfounded believe.
A believe that cannot be established because the method choose is unverifiable.

I think it's very interesting that Republicans think that just because Trump used supposed election fraud as an excuse for his loss in the last presidential election. We are then all supposed to bow down and pander to him by going to Great lengths to supposedly verify every election. All of this of course after having 200 some odd years of reasonable elections with reasonable people conducting them and nobody prior to Trump ever complaining that elections were fraudulent in this country. Even when elections are audited, what has been found Is that the only people that seem to commit any sort of fraud have been Republicans and even them those have occurred only recently when fanatical followers have decided to try and tilt elections toward Trump. Nobody is going to go out of their way to please Trump or to please his followers anymore. We've all had it with this.
Opinion Owner1 yWe are not demanding you pander to Trump by instituting verifiable elections, we are demanding you institute verifiable elections so that we can know they were not stolen.
The alternative is the abandonment of democracy we no longer have faith exist, and therefore will work to rig to secure power.
Opinion Owner1 yWe are paying for it, in fact simple verifiable election technology cost far less than current practices, as its simply a matter of showing up and voting in person with 2 observers.
Opinion Owner1 y@msc545
If what you say is true then you also don't have the right to insist we live in a "democracy" by the same measure because I don't see the compelling evidence that the people are casting said votes.
The result of abandoning that assumption is I don't need to proceed with any future political policy in line with maintaining that which I do not believe we have. I and those who agree with me can in fact treat the system for what it is and make plans to control it accordingly taking advantage of its flaws to Hijack or destroy it.
That is after all precisely what is happening now from my perspective by the hand of the other side and if we do not do the same we will lose everything.
Your welcome to continue to believe this is a "democracy" and that your vote counts, but even if that is true today it will not be tomorrow simply because you care not to verify it.- 1 y
This is the problem of your side and not my side. We don't believe in election fraud just because somebody we like or admire didn't get elected. What we do instead is just accept the defeat gracefully which is something you people can't do. We also don't try to suppress voting and discourage people from voting because we believe in the myth that more voters means that one side is more likely to win. In your particular case, the reason you're a cult leader doesn't win if there are more voters is coincidental if it even exists at all. The real reason he doesn't get elected is because people can't stand his big mouth or his bad manners or his criminal activity or his disrespect for service members or any one of many other things about him that are frankly just disturbing and odious. What people really need is your own country somewhere. Preferably as far away from the rest of us as possible.
1 yIt's rigged either way! This whole thing is a joke! Biggest democracy for the world to watch and it's pathetic!
Yet we get mad when other counties seem to have rigged elections...

Anonymous(18-24)1 yNo they believe a fair election is one where the other side doesn't cheat and stuff ballot boxes with phony ballots caught on video and deny them court hearings when there is wrongdoing and use the one-sided media to brainwash the population with lies and try to convince 350 million people that the president of the United States was not incompetent and senile when he was running for office in 2019 when we can see with our own eyes that he was.
00 Reply12.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The only way Democrats can win the election is through rampant fraud and criminal behavior. So you are right.
01 Reply27.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No. A fair election is one that has the election on Election Day, with paper ballots, requires an ID card and absentee ballots must be requested beforehand.
00 Reply18.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Apparently. They don’t have any excuses for why 2016 wasn’t rigged.
