Why would they not have become a thing? Should medicine and surgeries have just stopped being improved and explored in the 1930s? That would have avoided lobotomies which would have been great yes, but it would also have stopped chemo therapy and the defibrillator from being developed, among other things. SRS work and are by free choice. Why don't you complain about actually bad and forced things, like lobotomies, instead?

I have no problem with it. It helps them mentally and emotionally. It's not much different than me getting a breast augmentation to feel better about myself.

and this is my personal opinion but I dont think they should get transitions

I see so many broken people who after transitioning into their new bodies they dont even relate to it. For e. g male transitions to a female but then wonders why he keeps having thoughts of raping females.

Also lets not forget how invasive some of the surgeries or procedures are. I know one trans who said that he had to take a pill for the rest of his life or he would die...

is it even worth it in the long run?

hey, when i watched the movie, danish girl, which was based on the story of one of first ops, it was astounding, ground breaking, wicked, cruel, i could go on... having my own desires for both sexes and feeling very much a tom boy, back in my day.. I've pondered much about how things have developed... and i have been suspicious of just how fast this whole movement has grown... but struggled to get a grip of it all. well this link to a reputable reporter her years of investigation telling what she knows is truly shocking but explains a lot... i literally heard on the news today here in the uk we are to open the same said clinics all over our country... i appreciate the end game could be 200 years away 100 or maybe 50 who knows but i can see how this is unfolding...

For those who have gender dysphoria, sex reassignment surgeries are helpful to them and their mental well-being. They should have a choice in whether or not they want to change their sex. I see it just like anything else people get for themselves: Tattoos, piercings, implants, fillers, etc. some of these things are permanent and most people make sure it's what they want before they get them done. So why can't trans people do what they want with their bodies while knowing what the outcome will be? If they were forced to do it, it'd be a totally different story.

I don't see anything wrong with them, as long as they are performed ONLY on people that know EXACTLY what they're getting and can't live without it!
ANYONE that does it on children, anyone less than, say, 22 years old, should have their license taken away from them!

These "surgeries" are nothing short of immoral mutilations. Hopefully, parents will refuse to allow this kind of damage to be done to their children... assuming that the victims are still under the care of their parents
