I ask because it could contribute to instability due to the hookup generation and opinions shared in my experience on here. It's more than just about equal rights for women.

I do. Not everyone should be parents. Anyone see how many poorly behaved kids out there? Parents blame everyone else but themselves. Should people be more careful? Absolutely it's ridiculous to have many unwanted pregnancies happen in the first place but we can't police these things. And of course pro choice also says if abortion is against your beliefs then by all means don't have one. You can't force this view on someone else because it doesn't affect them.

To add, for 50 years roe v Wade was rule of the land and the fear that people have that women will just have abortions left and right due to hook up culture was never the case statistically speaking. The graph above shows that older generations in their prime years of getting pregnant were significantly aborting more babies than women today. This is just to show how people who rule politics today are not the moral standard they think they are and as time went on cases per 1000 have dropped significantly.

Back to hook up culture. Do you have stats to back up how this will definitely increase abortions? You want to lower abortion, increase access to birth control and education around birth control. People are going to have sex for crying out loud it's our nature to want it.

Also, we have to dispel the belief that the majority of abortions are happening because women think oh I'll just keep having them over and over so I can sleep around. That's not statistically relevant to who is having abortions and how many. We don't know why some women have more than one but only 11% have more than one and the majority have never had any.

We also need to dispel lies that are told about late term abortion.

I am pro-choice. There are any number of reasons why a woman might choose to have an abortion. It's nobody's right to judge.

I have zero problem with chemical abortion that can be performed up to 8 weeks after her last period.
I don't have a problem with an abortion up to the end of the first trimester when the fetus has no nervous system or consciousness.

I do have a problem with abortions performed after that unless they are for medical reasons.
And I am strongly opposed to late term abortions.

With readily available pregnancy tests, there is no excuse for waiting for months before realizing that you are pregnant and making a decision.

I have a major problem with women who used serial abortion as a means of birth control. That indicates an unacceptable level of stupidity and callousness. I wouldn't be opposed to forcibly tying a woman's tube who did that repeatedly. She should never be allowed to have children.

Sexually active women should use contraception. Period. If they don't like the pill or any other option, they should insist on condoms.
All of my girlfriends from the time I was 16 were on the pill. I estimate that I have came inside women well over 5000 times with never a pregnancy scare.

I think an abortion is okay before there’s a heartbeat. After that it’s a living thing. If a woman is raped or there’s incest or her life is on the line I don’t think an abortion is wrong at any point of the pregnancy. Then again if a woman is raped she should know earlier on that she’s pregnant bc I have been raped before I thankfully didn’t get pregnant but I was on top of it to make sure I wouldn’t be. I can’t speak for everyone of course because these are my morals and I wouldn’t judge a someone else’s situation.

This is ignorance. A woman should have the right to have unlimited access to a medical procedure that performs life saving measures for a number of health reasons outside of aborting an unwanted baby. Embryos die at all stages. The egg attaches in the wrong place. These can cause bleeding out, severe infections, all sorts.

Some people are so adamant about keep gov in check. Project 2025 and other trash. Stay out of women's uteruses. Pot / kettle.

Even rape and incest are questionable to me. In the case of rape she can have the child and give it up for adoption. Asking her to do that however is quite cruel and I don’t really care about the baby so ide overlook this one. Incest… same except ide be more willing to allow this abortion. According to planned parenthood back in the late 2010s rape and incest only made up 1.7% of all of their abortions.

If it isn’t these two issues or the baby isn’t malformed… abortion should be illegal. Make better choices. Accountability.

In the case of medical emergencies… Any action taken to save the mother’s life that kills the baby isn’t and shouldn’t be considered abortion and thus completely legal to save the woman’s life. Excluding depression cause some twisted fuck will use that as an excuse.

There was once a Durex advertisement that went something like "You had sex without a condom? What did you expect? A plasma TV?" I'm not surprised many people have said it's the woman's right, it's just GAG members being GAG members. Sadly, abortion is now used as a method of birth control. If both the man and the woman has functioning brain cells then both of them know what to expect with unprotected sex. Whatever they call as "a right" is just a validation to get away with the consequences that they don't wanna accept. Yes. Using abortion as birth control is absolutely despicable. It's murdering an innocent baby to enable your own hedonism. Any woman who gets an abortion just because she doesn't want the responsibility of a kid should be ashamed of herself, as well as any man who encourages it. They made the decision to have sex, any consequences of that decision are their own to deal with. It's not the baby's fault, there's no reason it should be murdered for someone else's mistake.

However, there are many complications involved in both pregnancy and abortion. No sane woman would inflict the latter upon herself like a walk in the park. It's traumatising!

Hookup culture should be bound by protection. Prevention is most definitely better than cure!
