Its not going to be easy to colonize the moon. It’s going to require incredible resources to have bases that support humans for long stretches of time.

Also there is not atmosphere which means that is going to be a constant threat of meteorites.

I do see future military bases being setup there and research facilities. But not living quarters sustainable for lots of people.
