I’m in favor of taxpayer funded support programs for people who need a little help. Like almost everything under the US economy and justice system, everything about our current support systems is just plain broken. People who need help aren’t getting it. People who don’t need help can too easily scam the system. The people who benefit most from the help aren’t given effective resources to eventually get off government assistance. It all needs a major overhaul, but i’ve watched and listened to several smart cookies who suggest simple plans that would set us straight. I grew up in a very poor family that got even poorer after my parents divorced. We had government assistance. None of us remain on government assistance to this day. My oldest sister did use it for a while when she was a young, single mother. She eventually got off of it. I never used it and i don’t think my other sister did either. None of my nieces and nephews are on assistance programs. So it WAS possible to use them for a necessary period of time and then escape. We can get back there with the right mindset and some major fixes.
I personally wouldn’t benefit from assistance programs now. I have a good career in a strong field. Short of a major injury or illness and ending up on disability, there’s no reason to think i’d ever need that kind of help again. But i know from experience and observation that other people still do and i think the very least we can do for the betterment of society as a whole is help our family, friends, coworkers, classmates and neighbors. Without the will to do that, we literally have no society. We’re just a bunch of greedy animals sharing a planet.
Greater Idaho. Both Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington want to secede from their states and join Idaho. They don't identify at all with the people on the coast, and their will isn't represented in their state government. It used to be much easier for state lines to change, but over the years more and more hurdles and loopholes were put in the way, and now it's nigh impossible. The Greater Idaho movement has been making steady progress though, and hopefully it gains more attention to shed light on the rural vs urban issue when it comes to representation in state government.
In my region long Island has been trying to become a state to get out of NYC shadow
Abortion rights. I can't have kids anymore, but I'll always support other women's rights to pick for themselves
I love giving our community hope, empowerment, and resources they need.

I strongly support the right of all children to be born.
People are for sure saying stuff that would impact them lol. And the thing is most things would in some society way.
Though the best example I could give is you can wear turbans. Even though I do find women having to wear them is sexist I support it if that's a woman wants to do anyway.
This don't effect me much since I am atheist and white. And I don't see how it would effect me later on. Maybe in the nonexistent future that a Muslim women wants me and is okay with my anti religion remarks but I see that as not gonna happen.
I live in a college town. There's two major universities with half a mile of each other, another college several blocks away and another 6 or 7 within about a 10 mile radius. At the main university, a decade or so ago, I heard that there were a number of female college students getting raped on their way back to their dorms late at night (there's lots of bars around that area so, the students to hang out at them a lot). If I had the money, I'd start up a kind of escort service where the girls would say they're ready to go "home" and one of my team would go meet them and escort them home, safely. Preferably, it'd e a government-paid service or done completely voluntarily just to see to it the girls get home safe. I'd even do it by myself, if I could.
Adult literacy. And childhood literacy, too, of course, but it's usually MUCH easier to get help with that when you're a kid. Not only is it almost like being blind, but as someone who literally couldn't wait to be taught to read, to the point that I taught myself, I know what these poor folks are missing.
I as future land owner and landlord I oppose illegal immigration, even if it's against my interests. More immigrants mean higher rent income. However I prefer to live in society without daily knife attacks of sexually and financially disappointed illegal immigrants.
Love for humanity, broadly speaking. The more I grow old, the more I see it as the definitive solution to so many issues on earth.
Wow, I'm just a hippie now. That's... Well, okay, think what you want lol. Also, no, I dont need LSD.
I don't really support any causes, maybe I should. When I pay for my groceries at the store with my debit card, sometimes a "donate $1 to cancer research" thing pops up and I do that. I buy food for homeless people all the time, though. There's a lot of them that hang around the neighborhood where I work. That definitely doesn't benefit me because I don't make a lot of money and I'm buying all these bums food.
My favorite charity is St Jude Children's Hospital. I don't benefit from making donations to it, other than the satisfaction of helping kids overcome cancer. My 3 kids, now adult, are all very healthy, thank goodness.
animal rights. I support the destruction of the meat industry because its so cruel to animals. But so many evil demon people refuse to go stop eating meat and refuse to allow better treatment of animals in the meat industry.
I've tried the plant burgers and those were REALLY good. I'm hopeful for the vat grown meat too.
Only thing that really comes to mind at the moment is that I used to work in every level of psychiatric facility from locked-door to group home for at risk youth. I don't see any way that it directly benefited me (other than my meager paycheck), but I'm still a big proponent of them.
SickKids in Toronto because I knew some family members that needed it and figured other families must go through what they had to on a daily basis.
Guide dogs and food banks, I support both. I do also support mental health charity, however that ticks the benefit from box lol.
strengthening traditional male and female roles and the role of the core family. i don't have a partner or children but i think we're doing the opposite and everyone is suffering from it.
