What do you think society fears most?

Horror movies are often depictions of some of the greatest fears for those during the time in which they were made. The 1950’s most feared nuclear war and its fallout so we had monster movies, the 1980’s most feared serial killers so we got slasher movies, and so on. What do you think people are most afraid of now?

Truth. people can't handle it and would rather be addled with intoxicants, sports, entertainment, social media, etc. The economy is set up to not give you time and space to understand how bad we're getting fucked. people fear the truth.
