Do people recognise your home town/city from your regional accent? And how often do you get asked to say x word?

Like not your general national accent but regional. It happens to me all the time like I spoke to a policeman before in a city 3 hours from home and I said 5 words, 5 words, and he knows which city I called home. I also work for a disability charity on the payment lines and every couple of months someone guesses my hometown - once I had to listen to a lovely story of this guy, assuming everyone in my city has fished in the river and gutted them and ate them for supper, he was quite sad to hear I've never done it. Because it was such a X city things to do - despite never hearing this so called tradition before.

How often do you get recognised?
Also how often do you get asked to say certain words? (For me again it's all the time)
Lastly is there any songs that people purposely play cause it's the song for X city?

As for the five words it probably sounds something like: "wots go-on 'ere then?" so while i was stupified in the moment it's quite obvious how he knew after I thought about it.
I always get recognised by my accent
Sometimes I get recognised
Occasionally I get recognised
I've never been recognised
