Do you believe faking you till you make it is the best way to succeed?

I grew up in a lower middle class family. My dad was a self employed painter and decorater now he works in a paint shop and my mum was a shop worker at Asda now she's a dinner lady so pretty average jobs but both my parents worked there arse off so me and me sisters could have a good life.

We lived in a tiny 3 bedroom house were mold grew everywhere until I was 19 and we moved into a 3 story 4 bedroom house in a really nice area. I've travelled all over the world since I was 4 and been privileged enough to be extremely well cultured.

My parents didn't buy us the lastes iPhone or designer clothes and me and my sisters were bullied at school for this. My parents thought it would do us better to be educated about the world around us more than flashy things

As I grew up I noticed a lot of posher men fancied me because of my looks and knowledge of the world around me. I never got on with rich boys but I eventually met my now husband who is kinda upper middle class. His dad was a international salesman and mum was PA at big company.

He's worked very hard and gotten himself a very good job in a very wealthy area working for extremely wealthy powerful elites. Because of this I'm mixing with these people and my husband and I are having to learn to fit in by wearing the same clothes as these people and doing the same sports.

I've learnt how to clay pigeon shoot and play bombington and everyone believes I'm posh and upper class little do they know I buy my clothes from vinted and hacoo. I feel sometimes like I'm a fake and I'm becoming as shallow as them same people who used to bully me for not having the nice things.

Now them people who bullied me live on the never never and paying off debts whilst I'm living the high life from what it seems on the outside

Do you believe faking you till you make it is the best way to succeed?
