Japan is not diverse and
1. has strong morals
2. very affordable living / food / entertainment (under $5 for a wagyu steak per pound)
3. has no religious zealots that need to preach about their one true god and the overarching brotherhood of man to feel any sense of unity

The reality is we live in a global world. Japan and even worse south Korean and potential China are going to have generation caulapes to culture ending results.

Good, beneficial diversity pretty much seems to begin and end on paper.

The reality is that diversity relies on an assumption that you have competent people who want to be a part of the culture you're trying to create. If you have some incompetent shithead that everybody knows the only reason they have a job is diversity quotas; that diversity is going to harm the objective you're trying to achieve with the diversity.
