Well, it's already illegal for noncitizens to vote. This is just republicans making noise to distract from the fact that they killed their own border bill because trump whined about having nothing to campaign on if it passed..

Nothing that the GOP has done since Trump came on the scene has been good. The noncitizen voting ban is just performative and unnecessary. Non-citizens do not vote in our elections now, and further emphasis of that is simply not needed.
