The New York Times’ Peter Baker did the math on the solution in search of a problem that is the SAVE Act. Trump and Congressional Republicans maintain that its passage is necessary to keep noncitizens from voting. But the ultra-conservative right-wing Heritage Foundation, the folks who oversaw the creation of Project 2025, found only 1,620 cases of voter fraud from 1982 to 2025. That included 100 cases of noncitizens voting, or as Baker pointed out, “That's about 0.000008% of more than 1.3 billion votes cast in presidential elections in that time.”

Of course, the real reason that Republicans in the right wing are in favor of the save act is because they do not want people who are not white voting. It has nothing to do with citizenship or any of that crap. It has to do with skin color as usual with these people. Racists through and through.

I'm convinced that non-citizens vote, but I'm not really worried about it. I think the SAVE Act is unconstitutional, because the feds weren't given the authority to do something like that. It's intruding on states rights and the feds can stay the hell out of it.

I'm not against states implementing something similar though, depending on how it's done. I'm also completely in favor of requiring IDs to vote. That's just common sense and prudent.

I'm VERY against Real ID though. But that is a different thing.

It's an absolute fact that non-citizens vote. But it's a question of how common it is. No legitimate source has said it never happens.

Every legitimate source might have found a few people that did this, but they are so few that they don't make any difference. Try to differentiate a few from many.

I worry about non-citizens voting, and do support the SAVE Act for proof of citizens. The 1,600 PROVEN ones show bad stuff is happening, but we only managed to prove 1,600! How many more we didn't catch! So we need to prevent democrat cheating. Voters have more than a week, starting NOW to get copies of birth certificate!

In the state that I live all you need is a state issued drivers license tom register to vote. No ID is needed to actually go to the polls and fill out a ballot. The state gives free drivers licenses to illegal aliens. It does not take a genius to see that this is what democrats want.
