I've been feeling inspired by an idea for the past few days, and I already started writing the first half of my book, but now, I'm just starting to think the whole plot sounds dumb.
The story is set in 17th century Massachusetts and is about a 16-year-old girl named Hannah, who has chronokinesis, the power to manipulate the flow of time. The people in her village are afraid of her because they believe she's a witch, so they eventually come together and form a mob, setting out to hunt her down. She knows that, when they catch her, they'll execute her, and, out of fear, she spirals out of control. Her power sends her through the centuries into the future, where she ends up in a dystopian, technologically advanced world. People in this time have little to no emotion and are only invested in their technology, oblivious to the world around them. Robots/AI outnumber humans, taking over every job and responsibility known to man. Terrified and confused by the strange place she's in, she attempts to get back to her time, but that only makes things worse.
