A view from the Russian line in Russia/Ukraine war.  This war... is pointless waste. To see people on both sides suffering and dying in such conditions... it's disgusting.  View from Ukranian side.

We learned how to get along 100,000 years ago. What separates our species from the other apes isn't walking erect, or having articulated shoulder joints for throwing, or even the fancy larynxes that let us make a huge range of sounds; it's how well our adult males cooperate.

The problem is that there's no shortage of leaders who see that as just another resource to be exploited, and do so ruthlessly.
