Faulty my ass. Explosives with triggering devices were placed inside those pagers. Guess who might have been behind that?

The Taiwanese pager manufacturer whose branding appeared on remnants of beepers that exploded in Lebanon says that they were manufactured by another company in Hungary.

The model of pagers used in detonations in Lebanon was made by Budapest-based BAC Consulting, Taiwanese firm Gold Apollo claimed on Wednesday.

It said it had only licensed out its brand to the company and was not involved in the production of the devices.

Gold Apollo authorized “BAC to use our brand trademark for product sales in specific regions, but the design and manufacturing of the products are entirely handled by BAC,” the statement said.

Hsu said that “The remittance was very strange,” he said, adding that payments had come through the Middle East. [Mossad?]

While he was meeting with reporters, police officials arrived at the company. Officials from Taiwan’s economy ministry also visited Gold Apollo.

The ministry said in a statement that there was no record of direct pager exports from Taiwan to Lebanon.

The hour long incident primarily involved recently issued pagers, low-tech electronic devices used by Hezbollah to circumvent Israeli surveillance. Israel reportedly planted explosives in the devices before they were imported to Lebanon, according to US and other officials.

I love it, that made me laugh out loud. When terrorists are terrorized part II. What's that saying, it's never a war crime the first time! So ballsy, and sends such a huge message to the world. We anticipate your strategy and will fuck you both ways with no mercy and horrendous casualties. Also with how they executed it without US arms, a message that even if you cut us off, we'll kill our enemies.

It sets the bar a little high though, like how do you top that? Assassinate another leader of Iran? They're making us look like bumbling fools in Afghanistan and Iraq though. they're doing in months what we couldn't do in 20 years.

They use pagers because they do not transmit signals and their military enemies are trying to track them down to kill them so pagers make them less likely to be killed. At least that was true before people started planting bombs inside them.

Hezbollah couldn’t use cellphones because the Israeli military could track them so they switched to pagers. All their pagers blow up yesterday because Israeli forces intercepted the shipment of pagers and rigged them to explode. Today they went to walkie talkies …. Today their walkie talkies blew up! Seems they were bought at a the same time as the pagers.

I guess they wanted to switch to pagers because cell phones can be traced. It really was an amazing plan. When I first heard about this I thought that somebody figured out a way to overload the battery. I heard that the Israelis intercepted the pagers after they left the factory and put a small explosive charge in them and input a code that they could use to detonate the explosives.

As for who uses pagers? They are used by criminals as their low tech and near impossible to hack thus terrorist originations and drug smugglers love to use them.
