What does Eric Adams and NYC going under mean for the rest of the US?

In a heartbreaking turn of events New York went down, we saw it with Detroit losing industry to Japanese companies in the 60s, we saw it with Baltimore, now it’s New York. It’s been in decline for years as Florida, California, and Texas, have beat New York in innovation since the pandemic. While firms are moving from New York to Miami as fast as possible NY still has a lot of finance. How will the country survive the downfall of New York without going under with it?
