If you could change one event in history, what would it be and how do you think it would alter the present?

On a personal level, I'd change the outcome of my cardiac arrests earlier this year.
I was resuscitated, twice.
The opposite outcome is obvious, is it not?

It'd certainly have had some effects on some people, but the aftereffects that have taken place as a result of things turning out the way they have these last several months have been horrific.
I believe that everything in my family's life would be so much better if I hadn't been so horribly resuscitated.

Of course, no one knows the future ramifications of past and present events, so here I still am, trying my best to get by, as we all do.
People say that I'll find a new purpose in life.
I'm seeking, but not finding.

I never thought about people being resuscitated from cardiac arrest before my experience, as I would guess that most people don't, either.
I think about it constantly ever since my experience, and those thoughts aren't good, at all.

I now believe that the practice should be outlawed.

Sorry to lay down a downer post, but that's what came to my mind.

Look at it dosen't make a lick of sense. It might honestly not change anything but at least intentional. Thats my more neutral response.

With things going right now I wish obama stuffed the supreme court. Double down what donald ultimately got away with. Basically let obama play as dirty picking judges as he did before don could. Per his proogitive as much as don once elected.

Shit wouldn't be as scary as it is today if it was an 50/50 supreme court. Roe vs wade, Chevron doctrine, a clear answer if the president can or cannot kill political rivals. The answer would be no.

The thing I would alter would be Hitler life, he was drowning when he was a child and a man saved him. If I was there knowing what he would do during is life I would have let him drown.
The amount of people he killed just because he was a piece of shit is too big.

This would prevent the WW2 to happen and history for people, expecially Jewish would be different.

There are other events I would change, but this would be the first.

I would like to prevent Julius Caesar’s assassination. I have no idea what that would do to history, but he was brutally murdered and that’s just not right, plus it didn’t accomplish its purpose of saving the Republic anyway.

Not sure really. Everything that has happened we've learnt from and not learning from that could cause worse things to happen.
Though I think it would be on the lines of making sure the 2nd Amendment was never a thing, therefore the structure of allowing guns into Us would of been very different and would of followed the many European countries that less gun crime to the point of none or barley no school shootings.
As I think in hindsight America carries on to not learn anything from this, and now it's a much harder problem to solve with the fact guns already widespread in US unlike such countries that never mass produced guns to be given to it's citizens.

Easy. Change the bronze age collapse. Basically the one time in human history where society truly collapsed and we lost so much that we later had to re-learn. Prevent it from happening and Humanity would be literally thousands of years further along in development.

I would go back to pre WWII Nazi Germany and tell Hitler to go after the Muslims and Chineses instead.
