Should Felony Murder Exist?

Felony murder is essentially where anyone involved in a felony that results in the death of a person can be charged with murder. The classic example is that if there's a bank robbery where one robber murders a bank teller the getaway driver can also be charged with murder.

In Minnesota they've recently changed the statute in a manner which will allow potentially hundreds of convicted murderers to be set free. Do you think this is just or unjust?

Most those things never work. Like restorative justice for kids in school is just a bunch of nonsense. The kid just sits there and says what the teacher wants to hear and then after the kid will go back to beating up and bullying the kid and maybe even worse so he keeps his mouth shut.

If someone killed someone and it wasn't in self-defense or to protect their family they should rot in jail.

It's a valid charge because you were an accesory to the crime. You helped someone get murdered.

I think this should also apply to the group of kids who stand around and laugh while their disabled classmate gets beat to death. They are morally liable.

The concept is basically that they engaged in behavior that could reasonably lead to the death of someone. Like dropping a rock off a bridge into oncoming traffic.

some poor slob is dead because of some dirtbags 'actions. He is just as dead as if the dirtbag carefully planned his murder. Dirtbag needs to do serious time.
