Based on comments I received from people on GAG, most Americans believe a war with Russia would be a cakewalk, and that facing the Americans, Russian soldiers would throw down their arms and surrender, or turn tail and run. Moreover, they believe Russia's ICBMs don't work and even if they do, they are no danger because the U. S. would shoot them all down.

Putin won't agree to any surrender at all. Nor would it be a cakewalk to get into a head-to-head war with Russia. A direct war like that would be one hell of a bloody mess. Russia would win because they have home field advantage and logistics are seriously on their side.

Just kicking Russia out of Ukraine would be a hell of a bloody mess, even more bloody than it's already been. Ukraine can't do it, and the west isn't willing to do what it would take. All the west has been doing is playing patty cake, getting lots of people killed, and turning a section of the world into a no-man's land.

At this point, it's pride vs pride. How many times have we seen that throughout history? It never turns out well.

Russia will NEVER give up Crimea and it won't abandon the people in Eastern Ukraine who begged for assistance when they were being murdered by Ukrainian military and Nazi battalions for 8 years.

It's absurd to think that Russia ever intended to "absorb" Ukraine. It just wanted to end Ukrainian aggression and prevent Ukraine from becoming a NATO member. Russia will not allow NATO military bases and missiles up against its border.
Would the U. S. allow hostile forces along its border?

Why won't the U. S. and NATO countries just allow Russia to be a peaceful trading partner?

Putin Is Out For Himself & His Allies, If He Gets Ukraine We All Lose.

North Korea, China, Iran and Russia all created an allied partnership with each other just a few months ago strengthening their support together for the foreseeable future and it is crystal clear to see why. China supplies Russia with drones to fight Ukrainian forces, Iran supplies Russia with missiles to fight Ukrainian forces, and North Korea just deployed troops into Ukraine to fight off Ukrainian forces on the side of the Russians… Clearly if Putin is successful in this war, it will allow these global powers to strengthen against the Western Powers of the world including United States of America & her allies.

Here is where I stand: I don’t want our American leaders to bend the knee and give Putin what he wants since we’ve seen this play out the same way in World War II appeasing to Hitler and allowing the World Powers to strengthen…. Not pretty and I advocate people to look at How we got here & Who should be in charge of the country moving forward since looking at the bigger picture…. It is detrimental we get this right.

*edit, Zelensky has made it clear that he doesn’t want boots on the ground however what he wants is money & supplies & weaponry to keep his soldiers strengthen against Putin’s aggression. Ukrainian forces have proven themselves of that so far. Zelensky witnessed mass graves of civilians being butchered, Ukrainian Museums being looted, missiles being launched into Children’s Hospitals, children being taken away & reeducated to be Russians…. etc. It is heartbreaking and we can’t stop now. If we stop, there will be boots on the ground against North Korea, China, and Iran which would surely be too much on the line at that point. Support Ukraine today to prevent boots on the ground tomorrow, that is all.

Anyone would be a dang fool to believe this. What people who support overthrowing Putin don't understand, is Putin/Russia isn't going to peacefully allow US/NATO to just walk in and turn Russia into the next failed state. If Putin/Russia are going down, they are not going to go down peacefully, they will take everyone down with them through the nukes. Fortunately it'll never get to the point of nuclear weapons, because once Ukraine is no longer profitable to defense contractors and other western corporations, they'll move on to the next country to destroy in the name of profits.

No Putin won’t quit unless he feels he’s “won something”. He’s putting his own legacy above everything else.

But who do think is going to be more effective at negotiating an off ramp? Kamala Harris who did absolutely nothing to de-escalate the war while being a sitting a VP when the war started OR Donald Trump who had relative world peace during his first term?

We all know the answer. While I do not believe it will be as easy as Trump claims to end the war I still 100% he’s the man to end the war and bring peace to that region.

No sane president would even consider war with Russia. They'd do almost anything to avoid it.

JFK took a chance with the Cuba Missile Crisis. Nobody since would have had the balls to take that stand with the possible exception of Reagan.
