Douglas MacKinnon posts on  The Hill  the results of an interview with three Democratic operatives, who give 4 reasons why the race is slipping away from Kamala Harris. In summary: 1. She is simply not a very good candidate. 2. The Biden-Harris administration’s record is weighing her down. 3. It’s virtually impossible to run against a “cult of personality,” which is what Trump has going for him. 4. The old “Are you better off now than you were four years ago?” question, with many Democrats feeling they  were  better 4 years ago and are now being crushed by Biden-Harris policies and failures. The far right has weaponized social media far more than the left ever could dream of, all the major platforms are now just mouthpieces for the far right. Combine that with most tabloid style media leaning heavily right and you've got a Hell of a lot of influence over people. Trump knows you don't keep a dog and bark yourself, a lesson the left hasn't grasped. He's never going to directly say what his base is saying, he doesn't have to, he let's them get the message out.

The problem with the dems is they give people too much credit to think. They believe you need evidence or a well thought out plan. Trump realises people are idiots. It doesn't matter if they think Biden has a tornado gun or Harris eats cats, let them spread lies and misinformation because it drives more people to your camp than away from it.

Trump knows people prefer to hate than love, we enjoy getting angry about stuff. It's a trick tabloids have long used to sell papers, people like to have a rant about grinds their gears far more than praise anything. No one reads the article about the one legged blind gay black guy who climbed a tree to save an orphan, but we do enjoy ranting about that cat that went missing within 5 miles of that migrant centre. Who else can sort out this shit but Trump.

The libs waste too much time on minorities. Not only does this anger people it's the equivalent of bringing a salad to BBQ, it only pleases a few people and voting is about numbers not who's right or wrong. You can chase the black vote but unless you put free fried chicken in the voting booths they're not likely to turn up in numbers. It also raises the question of association, Americans are being asked do you want to be associated with that near naked tranny wearing a dildo? Even on the left minority issues just aren't important to people. Sales of bud light crashed because 90% of Americans think drinking it when pregnant will turn your baby gay, again showing how the right dominate social media. Trump is saying ok I might be a nazi but would you rather wear a black uniform or a rainbow mankini?

Finally the left spends too much time demonising Trump. Trump isn't the next Hitler, Hitler might of been evil but he wasn't an idiot and he got things done. The more you draw attention to Trumps alledged evil plans the more you promote him because end of the day there isn't a Kamala cult.

If homegirl wins I would honestly be shocked. Look when Kamala first came in it was like 2008 Obama with some people, it was exciting and people felt like she was going to make history. But now that excitement and wave is now (well it has for 2 weeks) dying down. I mean look at the DNC it was like a freaking concert that pumped people (mainly the young people aka GenZ and millennials) up. But now it's like we GenZ (my generation) and the millennials are wondering and we're starting to question 1) what are you going to do for us and 2) where is all this money she keeps talking about giving to us Americans going to come from cause $25k here, 6k here, etc etc cause this can and probably will raise our taxes. Look I was on the Kamala wagon but now I'm like some of the other GenZ and millennials and that's you're making all these promises but are you even going to uphold them, so yeah we're getting skeptical of her right now. I mean for reason #3 yeah it's going to be tough for her to run against the MAGA cult not going to lie. And as for question #4 she keeps saying how Trump is doing the same old playbook but what is Kamala doing, everytime someone asks her a question she brings in Trump even when the question isn't pertaining to Trump she'll bring him in, it's like he's her excuse for dodging questions and we GenZ are picking up on it and we're realizing what she's doing she's dodging the question by bringing in Trump. At first and this is going to question #1 yeah Kamala yes seemed to be a good candidate but now it's like I don't know. Again, I don't hate the lady but her chances of winning are slim, however, if she does win I will honestly be shocked that she actually not only won but pulled winning the election off.

This entire 4 years has been a catastrophe filled with bleakness and despair. I am witnessing a continuing deterioration of our moral fabric. Resources are overwhelmed. The job market, especially the tech sector, has taken massive hits. Prices for necessities, like food and shelter have risen astronomically. Homeownership has become unobtainable and unaffordable for younger generations. Financial stability is threatened. Men are facing a loneliness crisis like never before with leftists threatening masculinity. WOKE policies and CRT is a cancer that is affecting workers and children alike. Illegal aliens are pouring into this nation, funded by the taxpayer dime. Meanwhile, our society and infrastructure is crumbling while we give billions to other countries. We are weak in front of our adversaries. This is a catastrophe and an embarrassment to the world. Harris has failed to denounce the Biden administration's policies, and as far as I am concerned, she is still just as responsible to why we still have a senile idiot as the so-called "president".

3 it's very possible to fight the cult because we did it 4 years ago.

4 the better off 4 years ago is subjective. Anyone with common sence and willingness to vote know that the executive branch can't unilaterally control the economy. Unless we want to nationalized some industries which I'm game for.

the whole election is going to be decided on people who basically live under a rock in the swing states. If we actually gave a damn of the peoples will and the merits of the future president we'd have a popular vote. But we have who can be the best employee of the year of used cars persuasive capabilities.

Kinda makes sence how a slum lord of new york with a basic tv show can become president.

3. True, but she herself is not existing both as vice president and now as a candidate (Trump is all over the news, while she is quiet)
4. Yes, especially that average voter now views Trump's presidency more positively than they used to (Trump has his issues, but most viewers don't remember that, they only remember economy was good)

I would also add that:
- she was not elected in party primaries, but elected arbitrarily
- she has pretty much no appeal in Rust Belt, as a mixed race progressive coastal elite, probably worst candidate profile for these states (while Biden as a white, center-left, heterosexual dude from Pennsylvania was somewhat appealing there)
- the major issue in this election (beside economy) is immigration, and for Democrats it's a losing issue.
- Harris is hypocritical on some issues (like fracking)

Pretty much. When Biden first suspended his campaign, I stated Harris was a terrible candidate and campaigner, and handing her the nomination on a silver platter was a bad idea that would result in a Trump victory in November, instead of fellow Democrats heeding my waring, they defaulted to attacking me as a Trump support, with some going as far as accusing me of being a racist and a sexist. Harris was a terrible candidate and campaigner in 2020, who was forced to drop out before voting started, and how fellow Democrats, simply ignored her 2020 campaign and acted like she was some new magical candidate, is beyond. The worst part in all of this, when Harris loses in November, Democrats will be blaming everyone and everything for Harris losing except Harris her self who has a track record for being a terrible candidate and campaigner.

I don’t believe that Harris is “losing” at all. If anything, she’s ahead in polls especially in the swing states.
Were we better off 4 years ago? No, the economy was worse before Trump left office. Believe it or not, the economy is better now. You can Google this information and see. Fox News, if that’s what you watch, is very misleading.
