I’m not sure how to do it effectively.

The sad realization I’m coming to is that Americans, by and large, aren’t very good people. Terrible values, terrible priorities, and selfishness is the driving factor.

Asking people to be “allies” of anything is asking people to care beyond themselves, and that’s just not a quality I see in an overwhelming amount of Americans. I don’t think we have good enough people to do the right things with the privilege of democracy, sadly.

Our problem isn’t the government, our problem is US, who WE are, collectively. I feel impossibly hopeless about the future of America as a decent country. We apparently aren’t decent people, decency apparently isn’t the prevalent goal, and I’m honestly just trying to navigate where to go from here.

If the election goes the way I think it does, I’m pretty much quitting on America. I’m not fighting for something that doesn’t want to be saved. I’ve never felt more disheartened for the future than I do today. Almost none of it will affect ME, personally. But it just thoroughly sucks that this is who my fellow countrymen are.

I need to find a new team to root for in The Olympics, this place has turned despicable. My respect for this place couldn’t get much lower.

Men cannot be allies to women when it comes to advocating for and protecting “reproductive rights” because women have told Men it is “not our concern” and to “butt out”.

Men have no input into whether a woman carries a child to term that he is potentially the father of, or if she decides to abort the pregnancy.

All a Man can do limit the probability that he fathers a child, and he only has FOUR ways to do that,

ONE – do not have sexual intercourse with a woman,

TWO – Withdrawal before ejaculation (high probability of a pregnancy),

THREE – use of a condom in conjunction with a spermicidal (the man buys and disposes of the used condom immediately after intercourse to eliminate “accidental” pregnancies),

FOUR - vasectomy should not be considered if you ever intend to father children as the success of a reversal drops off significantly after ten years.

And when it comes to any pregnancies with a partner/wife the man is never assured of being the father unless a paternity test is done the partner/wife is the ONLY one who knows who the father of the child she is carrying is.

In comparison to Men, Women have over 30 methods of contraception open to them, and to anyone with any sense and abortion should be the method of last resort, reserved for the abortion of pregnancies resulting through rape, or when the pregnancy is a threat to the life of the mother.

They can get more vasectomies. If choice is taken away from women, they can make it so that women don’t have to worry about that risk from him, and it’s a very easily reversible surgery so that helps if he does decide he wants children. They can also speak out against politicians who promote that stuff, as well as other men in these communities and tell them that it’s a moral hypocrisy to value a life that doesn’t yet exist over one that already does. It’s very easy to make a voice for the voiceless and use that to make a moral high ground without any real effort, men will listen to other men calling them out on this. And also elect more female politicians that support women’s rights.

Please remeber, the rights you are trying to take away, are also the rights of your mothers, sisters, daughters, grand daughters, nieces, nephews, friends, loved ones, and people whom you respect and admire.

Would you want them to suffer because they do not have the freedom to make the choices that prevent harm to their bodies, lives, and families?

Please just take one second and picture your favorite person in pain and agony, hurt, and alone, on the doorstep of death and seperation. Is that what you want for them? For your own family? For your loved ones?

The problem is getting the right people on board to make the required changes. It doesn't matter if every john doe and jane doe outside the government is advocating. Until you get the people making the laws to understand the changes required, then nothing can change.

He's also said he'd support women being punished for having them. But considering his own administration pushing project 2025 which does frame out how to enact a nationwide ban, yeah there's a reason the alarm is raised. But even if that wasn't the case, the fact he stole our national right to an abortion, means he's already fucked with our rights.

Maybe you should do what I did and actually read project 2025, and look at who it's authors are and supporters are, and see who overlaps in his administration and donors.
