Why are there all these people who genuinely love Trump?

I get it if you’re holding your nose because Kamala would be a disaster, but he is no Reagan… very different… This is a person with Serious character flaws, who changes his positions if he thinks he needs to in order to placate enough people. No real principles other than what’s most convenient for him… At best, he is someone to hold your nose for if you want to pick the lesser evil. There are certainly many better candidates that could’ve ran.

I don't get it either. In 2016 I talked to a lot of people who voted for Trump ONLY as an anti-Hillary vote. They hated Trump but voted for him anyway, because the alternative was worse.

Now I think a lot of those same people actually like him. I don't know why.

I'm a Reagan conservative. I think he was one of the best presidents this country has ever had. I think Trump is one of the worst presidents this country has every had. It totally amazes me that some people compare the two, and put them in the same category. They are NOTHING alike. They are opposites.

If you only want to look at policies - well I DON'T want to only look at policies. If you only look at policies you will never understand why Reagan was such a good president, and why Trump was such a bad president.

Reagan was such a good president because of WHO he was. Trump was such a bad president because of WHO he was.

The president is a leader. He is a diplomat. He is a representative of the country. None of those things are about policy. They are all about WHO the president is. In that regard Reagan was great, and Trump was horrible.

Just because someone has an R after their name, or a D after their name, doesn't mean people should automatically like them or hate them. But that is what we've devolved to.

President Trump had the ability so somehow reduce a complex issue down to a basic solution. He has been in business his whole life and knows it is mostly about money. One of the first things he did was renegotiate the deal with Boeing to build two new Air Force One jets. He made the NATO deadbeats pay their share. He renegotiated trade deals with Canada, Mexico and China and forced Mexico to agree with a "Remain in Mexico" policy for so called asylum seekers.
He sees so called climate change for what it is, A hoax and he wants to leave a strong America for his kids and grandkids.
He is already a multi billionaire so he does not need to take bribes from foreign countries.

nobody is asking Trump to be their best friend or spouse. they're asking him to be their president to pass the necessary laws and policies to improve their lives

everybody has flaws. no such thing as a perfect human being. Trump doesn't try to hide his flaws which is far more authentic than any other politician. Trump wears political incorrectness on his sleeve, other politicians just pander for votes and backstab others when it's convenient

are there better candidates? yes of course. Tulsi Gabbard and Vivek Ramaswamy are some examples who happen to endorse Trump

at the end of the day, I'd rather have a real enemy than a fake friend. a real enemy at least can encourage you to improve yourself to beat them. a fake friend is just milking you for a ride until it's time to betray you

Compared to the alternative, Trump is a step in the right direction. He's a narcissistic asshole, but his values, policies and views on important matters affecting our country and the world are far better than Harris or Biden. And unlike Biden/Harris, Trump projects strength on the world stage. Look at everything that has happened around the world since Biden/Harris took office. Bad actors were just biding their time, waiting for a weak administration. And as soon as we got one, they stared doing what bad actors do. None of that happened during the Trump years for a reason.
