Cards on the table, I am a Republican who does not care for - and did not vote for in 2016 - President Trump. Though I may vote for the President this time as while I do not care for Mr. Trump, the alternative of Mr. Biden is less appealing.
That all said, actually President Trump's support has been remarkably constant. Hovering around the 47% mark since he was elected and - unusually - not much impacted one way or the other. When the economy was booming, Mr. Trump was at 47%. When the pandemic and impeachment hit - about the same.
This in contrast to, for example, former President Reagan. At his low water mark, the 1982 recession when the rate of unemployment hit 10.8% - until this pandemic induced recession, the highest of the post WWII era - Reagan dropped to 34%. Then the economy began to boom and by 1986, President Reagan hit an eye watering 71% approval.
That is the norm and in that sense President Trump has defied gravity. Albeit at a level below majority support.
The reasons for such being that the country has entered a populist phase - not unlike the 1960s and 70s. This phase inspired in part because of the transition from a manufacturing/extractions base to a service/tech base. Thus even during the booming "pre-pandemic" economy, the lot of the lower middle blue collar (particularly white) class did not significantly improve.
To this was added a certain cultural condescension by the Democrats who were searching out the younger college educated vote. Thus President Obama's remark that the working class - to use that term - were "clinging to guns and religion." Thus Hillary Clinton's infamous "deplorables" and promising to put the miners out of business.
Suffice to say, the working class, which had seen itself as playing by the rules, working hard, going to church and being patriotic, did not cotton to being so dismissed and looked down upon. Their problems are real - declining lifespan, rising suicide, etc. - and being looked down on was deeply resented.
President Trump - for all his many, many failings - read this audience and appealed to it. His "in your face" and telling the politicians, i. e. "the swamp" and the "elites", what they can go do with themselves - to put it crudely - sings to the blue collar class that feels it was betrayed and abandoned. Thus they have stuck to President Trump through thick and thin, come what may, with very little deviation even now.
Of course this very same approach has capped the President's support - again at about 47% on average. The President's knack for pouring salt in the social wounds has made it hard for the college educated, women, among other groups, particularly those thriving in the new service/tech economy, to see any good in Mr. Trump. To these voters Trump is destructive, divisive and self-absorbed. (The latter of which he is and to some degree his own less justified personal sense of grievance allows him to psychologically understand the lower middle class - albeit the latter's grievances are far more justified in material terms at least.)
Reagan, to cite that example, was the opposite. His policies - in their day - were actually more controversial. However, after two decades of tumult in the 1960s and 70s', Reagan had a natural ability to calm the social waters and thus even his opponents came to like him in some ways.
(This was captured brilliantly in a cartoon that appeared during Reagan's tenure that showed a pollster asking a voter what he thinks of Reagan's policies, #@*!! was the response. Next panel - The same pollster asks the same voter what he thinks of Reagan personally - "Oh nice guy. Really like him. Friendly, jovial.'" Suffice to say, those latter are not terms one might apply to Mr. Trump.)
Thus, Mr. Trump's support has both a floor and a ceiling. His victory in 2016 - and if it happens in 2020 - because the lower middle class was once the heart and soul of the Democratic coalition and Mrs. Clinton (and to some degree Mr. Biden now) has not found a way to win them back. Mr. Trump's support being a minority, but an intense one and thus it has been well said of this election that there are not many Biden supporters, just Biden voters.
@spuitkaas Biden is kind of senile
@spuitkaas I've heard him talk completely incoherently before on the radio. I haven't heard of trump doing it though
@spuitkaas If I may cheat a bit to save space, here is a piece that I wrote regarding Mr. Biden about two months ago. What do you think of Joe Biden? ↗
My response was rated MHO and appears under my "Nightdrot" nom de guerre. If after you have read it you would like to discuss the issue further, I would be happy to do so.
I don’t consider him the greatest president ever. I general I don’t even like the guy, but I guess I can touch on a few issues...
Economy
Trump has consistently expanded the NASA budget which was severely crippled under the Obama/Biden administration. While Obama/Biden set America back on technological advancement, trump is moving us forward with new space goals and funding to back it. Trump has created the Space Force in that same goal. That should lead to more aerospace and defense engineering and manufacturing jobs and spur tourism to watch rocket launches.
Trump passed the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act several years back. That created Opportunity Zones which will spur growth all over the nation. This will drive job growth by incentivizing investment in America.
I like Trunp’s Strategy for American Leadership in Advanced Manufacturing. This policy will drive future intelligent manufacturing systems utilizing computer science and robotics to strengthen the domestic supply chain of medical products, food and agricultural products, electronics fabrication, and defense manufacturing. Bringing supply chains back to the USA which is great.
Tax cuts are generally good.
Trump renegotiated some bad trade policies.
The 2018 Farm Bill legalized the production of industrial hemp.
A lot of programs were put in place to help veterans.
Health Care
Obama Care is a nightmarish authoritarian plan crafted by greedy insurance companies and corrupt power hungry tyrannical politicians. It is unconstitutional at it’s very base and if allowed to stand would threaten the very fabric of our country. Imposing a mandate onto a passive individual compelling them into a commercial transaction with a private company merely for being alive and then non-uniformly taxing them if they do not abide by your tyrannical order is civil war worthy. We fought the British Empire over less. This act alone makes Obama one of the worst presidents in American history. Biden was not only part of crafting this hellish legislation and still openly approves of it, he wants to go further and build upon it. This is unacceptable. When Trump enter office he immediately removed the individual mandate from Obama Care via an executive order which is great, but not permanent. If Biden were to be elected, this could be easily reversed which would be horrifyingly bad. Now that Trump has appointed more conservative judges to the Supreme Court, I am hopeful that Obama Care will be overturned in the near future. Trump has adamantly stated that he wants to eliminate Obama Care all together and craft new legislation to regulate health care. He has also openly stated that he wants to included verbiage in that legislation that will protect people with preexisting conditions from corporate refusal for coverage. While there is no detailed plan on what that legislation may look like yet, in my opinion it is far more important that we resolve the overstep by the Obama administration first, not for health care but for legal precedent. We need to kill Obama Care, burn down it’s house, and piss on the ashes first. From there we can negotiate a new way forward and protecting people with preexisting conditions is a good first step.
Environment
I like the EQIP act in the 2018 farm bill. The Great American Outdoors Act is pretty good. I like that he stopped offshore oil drilling around Florida. I’m not a fan when it comes to his position on solar. I don’t have an issue with using oil and natural gas, but it would be nice to see more renewable incentives especially solar.
Violent Crime
Trump has been the voice of law and order during the BLM race riots. He has been very vocal against groups like ANTIFA, but I’d like to see more responsibility directed towards BLM. I support Trump’s position in denouncing critical race theory, which is a racist policy from the Obama/Biden era. I support Trump’s Operation Legend to reduce violent crimes surrounding said riots. Trump deputized state police so that the federal government can bring those assholes to justice. On the opposite end, Trump’s First Step Act to release nonviolent drug offenders could be a good thing…
Meanwhile Democrats are looting small businesses and ruining average people’s lives, burning down their cities, and beating and murdering innocent people in cold blood. They are threatening civil war, trying to intimidate voters, pushing to repeal civil rights legislation, etc. Biden claims ANTIFA is an idea and that it isn’t real. The Democrats (specifically Biden/Harris) bailed out criminal rioters and put them back on the streets to cause more chaos. Democrat District Attorneys funded by George Soros refuse to prosecute criminals associated with ANTIFA and BLM. Democrat mayors have defunded the police, placed messages of racial hatred on the streets with tax payer money as a political stunt, and even let communists hold certain portions of their cities hostage.
As John Adams once said, a republic is a government of laws, not of men. The promise of the rule of law under the constitution is to judge all men by the same legal rules no matter what their characteristics. Biden doesn’t believe in the republic. He believes in intersectionality, mob rule, discrimination, and special privileges for his political allies that hand him power. As Thomas Jefferson put it a democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent can take away the rights of the other forty-nine percent. I think it is a pretty clear choice who has America’s interest in their heart.
Corruption
He and his allies seem to be exposing deep corruption in the government at the highest levels. If they are able to bring cases against these individuals and lock them up for their crimes it would be a huge service to our country. Time will tell.
Gun Policy
Trump seems to support 2A rights but could do more to reverse tax stamps and stuff like that. Biden is a nut job fuck face that wants to strip American gun rights. Communists like to disarm their populous, so it is no surprise.
Supreme Court Appointments
Conservative judges are more likely to strike down Obama Care, protect 2A rights and potentially restore some that have been infringed upon, and protect citizens 1A rights in relation social media and search results. Trump and Republicans in general stand in opposition to Democrats trying to pack the courts for political manipulation.
Foreign Policy
I think the peace deals Trump is brokering in the Middle East are great. So far the UAE, Bahrain, and Sudan have normalized relations with Israel. At least 5 more nations in the region are considering following suit including Saudi Arabia. In the passed when peace deals have been made with Israel relations have never been normalized. Trump is bringing people together, not only for security to counter balance the threat from Iran, but in cooperation for economic growth and development of the region and to combat covid and potential future famine. It looks like there will be a free trade region in the future, and some Arab countries that get on board, play nice, and strive for peace will get some of the economic action that will be stripped from China in the textile, pharmaceutical precursors, and plastic industries. That’s good for them, that’s good for us, and that’s bad for China and Iran. In contrast, the Obama/Biden administration had partnered with Iran and the Islamic Brotherhood destabilizing the region and promoting war and we all know the Biden family is bought and paid for by China. Countries like Egypt that have been long time allies had started to see us as enemies under Obama/Biden. Under Trump we have the foundations of peace and prosperity in the Middle East and our soldiers get to come home from war. It’s really good. If he gets reelected more is on the way. A number of nations in the Middle East are apprehensive to get on board because they think they will be punished under a “second Obama administration”. The Obama/Biden/Clinton are bad for the Middle East. Trumps wins against various terrorists is great. Withdrawal from Obama era Iran deals are also good.
Trump has made a hard stand against China’s bullshit. Trump raised Tariffs on China. He is punishing American companies that export American jobs overseas and is forbidding companies that do business with China from winning federal contracts. He also sanctioned communist party members and Hong Kong banks that defend said communists. He’s stood up for Taiwan. He’s been clear that he’s against the Hong Kong security law, Chinese IP theft, the Chinese concentration camps, China’s chicanery in the South China Sea, etc. He’s standing up for Maritime law. He’s also pushed for a global alliance against China. I like what he’s doing and want to see more.
I like that he influenced NATO to take a larger role in their own security. This reduces America burden and promotes the American defense industry which can lead to more good jobs in America. Trumps peace deals in the Balkans are also good.
He’s successfully convinced Mexico to start enforcing their own immigration policies and he’s strengthened border security. Apprehensions at the southwest border have more than doubles so his actions have been relatively effective at slowing illegal immigration. Trump has also strongly combated human trafficking.
Problems
He could have been a better unifying voice in relation to covid response. While it’s ultimately up to the states, he could have been more sympathetic and cooperative and he should have yielded to scientists to explain topics that are outside his purview. I think he did as bad a job as any other career politician anywhere in the world. Ultimately we needed an early international flight shutdown. No one was willing to do that and in retrospect, our supply chains were too dependent on China in that specific moment so I get why it didn’t happen. Previous administrations had set this moment up for failure. Trump has no science/medical background so he couldn’t make wise decisions, but there aren’t many in government that can wear those shoes. Additionally some of the trade agreements with China sort opened the gates for China to manipulate food reserves in the USA which caused temporary food shortages in America during a pandemic. He touted it as something he accomplished, while China was using it as a tactic in a food war to try to hurt us. He didn’t seem to see both sides of things. That’s a judgment issue. He also was willing to allow China to buy up a lot of our PPE early on thinking trade is good, but was short sighted considering we needed the materials. China also did that to try to sabotage our response to covid. Trump wasn’t playing chess thinking several moves ahead… He also said a lot of dumb shit along the way.
The economy has been gradually failing for many years and he has the burden of dealing with the downfall at the moment. I don’t blame him for that, it is much bigger than him. That said, I don’t like what has been done by the Fed and Congress for early stimulus. He appointed the fed chairman and signed off on legislation, so he’s also responsible. The question is how will he fix it if given another term. If things continue to go in the same direction, there will be a decimation of the middle class which is unacceptable for our republic. This is a big issue that needs to be fixed.
I’d say in the beginning I thought he was going to be a relatively bad president. I voted for a third party candidate in 2016. After about his first two years he start to turn the corner getting rid of some bad people in his cabinet and move up to a relatively middle of the road mediocre president. In the passed year he’s had some significant accomplishments and failures simultaneously. If he can fix the bad parts and finish the good parts in the next 4 years I’d consider him a good president.
I knew he would be better than Hillary, but he had not earned my vote in 2016. I knew he was going to win anyway so I didn’t vote for him that year. This election I voted from him and even ended up convincing some Democrats to vote for him. I still think he has some flaws he needs to work on, but I feel he’s done enough to earn my vote and has a greater vision that aligns well with American ideals this election. His primary competition Joe Biden would be stupidly bad for America. While I don’t trust the polls, the narrative that Biden is way ahead is being pushed, so I feel it’s more necessary to vote for Trump this election cycle. Democrats have displayed too much degenerate behavior this year.
I supported Donald Trump since he announced his first campaign for president back in 2015 for 2016. I was loud and proud to be a woman who supported him. His beautiful family which is married to immigrants and people of other races/religions than himself. I thought his platform for a stronger economy, helping with legalization of illegal immigrants and deporting the criminals who have taken advantage of the united states of america without going through the legal channels that so many have to pay and go through was an amazing idea. The wall is a big idea and also not a lot of socialists understand that 99% of the drugs in the USA are being shipped in from the mexican border, the mexican government knows it and does little to nothing because the mafia down there pays them to walk away. So having Mexico pay for the wall after millions have died from the overdoses each year here might not be such an outrageous idea. The things that President Trump says are no different than the tv talk shows and reality shows 99% of all of us watch and or listen to. Don't know why so many get up in arms over it. If he never became president everyone would still be partying with him and his family in the Hamptons, staying in his hotels, laughing at his humor, etc. No one pointed the finger at Hugh Hefner and all the scandals he had. But when someone runs for public office all of a sudden people and stories just magically appear. Socialism = Communism so if you would like to live like that please give it a go in Russia for a year or two. See how they treat you in the factories and check out what happens when you speak up against their leader.
Nobody who hated Trump started loving him. The people who liked him 4 years ago mostly still like him now. It's an asshole bond or some shit like that.

(if you want every single date and time of what Trump did to prevent Covid deaths in America, let me know ill send it.) (when I reference "he" I'm speaking about Donald Trump in this post.)
He's taken troops out of countries that we do not belong in (which is saving thousands of soldiers out of danger and harm), Brought in by an excuse war for oil money and or Petro Dollar by a certain greedy Bush and Silverstein.
He's called out and exposed The Clintons and the Biden Family non stop on their involvements in very sick and twisted and corrupt activities.
He's called out the Mainstream manipulative media for running falsified narratives and propaganda.
He's called out Corrupt Democratic politicians and those that run their cities wrongly with high corruption rates, He has constantly offered Funding and help for those cities after the damages of Riots that happened in the majority of such corrupt cities, and those politicians ignored him and denied his help. (Read the 10th Amendment)
He has taken us out of the Paris climate accord (which by the way costs tax payers $495 billion a year, for a 12 year contract that a certain Hawaii resident placed us into) for useless "climate combating programs" that use toxic metal waste to combat Ozone and atmospheric temperatures.
He is the most hated president and yet he still carries on, he hasn't quit has he? he hasn't made a dime since he's been in office, he is the only president to have had his net worth lower. He can have anything he wants in life, yet he ran for president (the Left mocked him and laughed and promoted hate against him) and yet he won, he won and he has made more efforts in fixing this great country than Obama did in 2 terms.
He's the only president in the United States with the Highest Funding to Stop Human Trafficking/Human traffickers at a whopping $435 Million.
The first 18 months of the Trump presidency saw a 743 percent increase in arrests of traffickers over the first two years of Barack Obama’s first term.
Under Trump’s helm, 9,200 individuals were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking in 18 months.
Under Obama, 1,238 were arrested for trafficking during his first two years. During eight years in office, Obama’s administration made only 42 more arrests for human trafficking than Trump’s administration made in his first 18 months! How many precious lives were saved by those 9,200 arrests?
I want to write more but it's limiting my words now, If anyone wants to have a civilized and respectful Conversation without using obscenities, then go right ahead and let's talk about our Agreements or our disagreements.
(I'm not responding to anyone being immature and hateful.)
What’s your argument?
Oh ok well let’s see Tony Bobulinskis 3 phones with evidence regarding The Biden’s involnent on a massive money ring with Ukraine and Russia.
Let’s discuss how Bill Clinton flew 22 times to Epstein’s island in 1 months time, a known island for teens to be trafficked to and sexually abused by sick and twisted liberal politicians and the left wing wealthy.
Out of the 26 flights he took... Imagine calling Actual evidence a QANON theory but still push a “Russian Collusion” theory against Trump...
Liberals are hypocrites
Like you like the flight logs and picture of Clinton with many minors at the island, and witness statements? Or are the victims liars to?
I support Trump because he's getting done, most of what he said he would do. No President can ever keep all their campaign promises, but Trump has followed up on many of the ones that conservatives consider important. Things like securing our southern border, backing the military, lowering taxes, reducing crime, improving the economy, appointing Constitutionalist judges, putting America and Americans 1st when it comes to trade deals. The guy has followed through on all those issues.
He's tried several times to remove Obamacare (the ACA), but usually 1-2 votes have prevented that from happening. I personally don't want "Universal Healthcare", but Obamacare never was about health OR care. The lies of the left saying 20 million will lose their health insurance is BS. Most of those that have an Obamacare policy are paying out their rears and getting little for that money. What Biden is offering is even worse!
Trump is NOT the polished speaker like Ronald Reagan. This is probably Trump's major downfall. He can be very abrasive in his comments. With him, you need to pay more attention to what he means, more so than what he specifically says. He's getting better than he was, but the media absolutely REFUSES to give Trump ANY credit for the things he's accomplished. They focus totally on how to present his accomplishments in as negative a way as possible.
To answer your Update:
Yes, the media purposely takes what Trump says out of context, misquotes him, lies about what he's said by distorting the truth or simply leaving out the WHOLE truth, all because they hate him. They hate his agenda, because it's not liberal or socialism.
Trump has exposed their distortions from the time he started campaigning back n 2015. The media can't stand that Trump calls them out on their lies and liberal agenda.
Additionally, the media will report ANYTHING done by Trump from as negative a viewpoint as possible. Tax cuts were only seen as for the rich, even though 87% of wage earners paid less taxes. The peace deal brokered between Israel and the UAE was barely mentioned (on page 43 at the bottom left column of the newspaper), the media could hardly mention the low unemployment rate (pre-COVID), and NEVER reported the historic lows for blacks and Latinos. This is how the media ALWAYS portrays Trump. And he's had to deal with this from the moment he announced his candidacy for President.

1. Because he appeals to ordinary people. That in and of itself is a controversial statement but he does, like most people in politics.
2. He is unscripted. Unlike other candidates, who have everything written up for them, Trump speaks his mind.
3. He makes several talking points which resonate with a large portion of the general public. Mostly how other politicans are bought and how the media insults the people's inteligence by telling them what to think.
I think that's in general what propells him in the eyes of the American public.
I don't wish to speak too much about it tho, because it generates very little positive discourse, but I personally appreciated the shift in perspective and seeing as how a politician can be so controversial is a sign that some things are not quite right and THAT generates discourse. I like that. I also despise the ridiculous statements about trump being a literal nazi, it's one of the most insulting tactics to make others afriad to think. You can criticize a man without reduction to the absurd.
for me it began in highschool 15 years ago when i noticed how fucking sensitive the administrators were. too many things you couldn't say too many wimpy policies they implemented to spare people's feelings. I realized that i hated them for that. that i hated diversity because it strangled the chance to express one's self and say w/e you wanted. too many types of people and someone is guaranteed to be offended no matter what.
that led to a resounding hatred of globalism all while watching jon stewart accidentally advertise trump on his daily show (he still probably has no idea how helpful he was to getting trump elected) jon stewart would make fun of trump and his america first speech meanwhile half of his audience was gong "wait a minute this guy is making a lot of sense".
Trump correctly pointed out that globalism wasn't useful anymore. he doesn't understand why in the same way i do but he speaks bluntly and doesn't care who he offends and that's how america should be. one people, one nation, one culture
I think a lot of it is a question of "compared to WHAT?" My take is that the last time the electorate was tired of the establishment. Trump was anti-establishment. They didn't want the Republican party spoonfeeding them another dude with the last name "Bush" so they went for Trump in the primary. Then the Dems RIGGED their primary to ensure that the establishment candidate (Clinton) triumphed over the anti-establishment guy (Bernie). So in the general, enough people went for Trump--particularly in swing states--so he won.
Let's see where we're at today. Trump's got a TON of issues for sure. But I'm not sure the Dems learned a lot from the last time. Biden has been around for almost FIFTY YEARS in politics. Doesn't get much more establishment than that. Also, he's quite clearly suffering from mental decline but we're all supposed to pretend that isn't the case. A lot of people don't like that. The whole "woke" thing--while super interesting to a TINY number of NOISY people tends to put off a LOT of folks.
So I could really see anything happening next week. We won't know till we get there, but it neither outcome would surprise me.
I think it’s because he gets results, and at least TRIES to do what he says he’s going to do.
Also I think the constant lies about him from the mainstream media and the left have something to do with it. They are so desperate to discredit him, yet they constantly fail.
People don’t like being manipulated and lied to, and that’s all the people get.
The democrats are showing themselves to be liars and panderers.
He’s trying to look out for the people while the other sides lets their cities burn.
No one likes being called a racist or a fascist, and that’s something the left does constantly.
Theses things push people a certain way.
I hav to add that I am Canadian, and this is an outsiders point of view.
If it really is all lies i feel bad regardless because its like their constantly belittling and making a false negative image on a person. But im wondering how come nobody will expose the media for all these false accusations so people can see the truth finally? I don't hate president Trump. I dont believe in hate. It's a strong rude feeling to have towards someone but I don't know what to believe anymore.
Back in 2016 I was all about Bernie Sanders. I hated Trump. I was a rabid bleeding heart liberal. I believed anyone who was on the right was a morally corrupt scumbag.
Now I know I was wrong. And liberals really area hive mind. I was a part of it. I was even a rabid liberal on this very site and half the conservative people blocked me on here lol. So don’t try to tell me I wasn’t some fucking ignorant liberal asshole like the rest of them because I was.
So now when it comes to Trump I choose to believe that he’s doing the best he can. He’s a good dude and cares a lot about the country and he does the best he can do. Fuck whatever the liberals say. I used to be one of y’all. Y’all are full of fucking shit man. I know because I used to be that. The proof is somewhere deep in my profile from years ago being a stupid rabid liberal hating conservatives because I was brainwashed my whole life to believe they were evil.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/decider.com/2019/02/12/hillbilly-documentary/amp/
Check out this link. It’s a documentary about why a lot of rural people voted for Trump. It changed my perspective of “rednecks”. Most of them voted for Trump because he gave them financial “hope”. They felt that he’d give more support to farmers and rural workers. It’s an enlightening documentary. I used to judge Trump supports harshly but now I’m seeing there’s a story that isn’t being given as much exposure as the main narrative that his supporters are racist and aggressive.
His monetary policies have been extremely effective. It allowed our economy to grow dramatically. Regulations and disincentives for corporations was a terrible route after the Great Recession. I could go into many other reasons, but I like that he’s not a politician. What you see is what you get. He doesn’t accept many donations. He doesn’t play by Washington’s rules. He calls bullshit out when he sees it. He’s clearing out the swamp. They’re attacking him, but he’s a fighter and I genuinely believe he loves our country and is fighting for us. I don’t love his personality, but I do love what’s he’s doing.
Well people have said that Biden suffers from dementia and is too old. And during the riots Trump was against it and said when the looting starts the shooting starts.
Let's face it nobody wants their homes to get attacked or looted. And despite what some people might say we still depend on the police for our protection.
Hell I've seen several videos where protestors asked for the police to be present while they were protesting to defund the police. Which is just so ridiculous and funny at the same time.
I think it's these reasons why people support Trump. The people that vote for him might not even be republican.
I know a friend that's going to be voting for Trump just because he's against all the rioting and violence that have occured. And he's neither republican or democrat.
Does anyone remember him cleaning the street on front of the white House with teargas of all the protestors, so he can get a photo op of him holding the Bible, on front of that church. Or the fact the Facebook and Twitter are now editted and fact checking his post because he lyes so much.
I will be 100 % honest I hate Trump. , He is a liar. A cheater a thief and he has a big fat mouth I don't like any thing about him at all now in saying all of that ,,, I didn't Vote for him because I see who he really is ,,, now being honest,,, if you look back at all the things he has gone through. Because of the democrats. And all the rumors of what the Democrats have done to make trump look bad he can do that on his own ,, BUT if any of it is true any of it then the Democrated party is fucking evil to do what they have done to this country they all need to be fired if any of it is true with no pay no retirerment. no nothing. And if one thing is true that they have done no way in hell do I want them RUNNING this country I voted for trump ,,, maybe he will turn 6 this year and really do something good not for just the rich OR his Ego
Probably because for all his twitter Edgelording and rhetoric and controversial statements, he's actually done a pretty good job getting things done as president. A sitting president running for a second term is judged more on his track record of achievements as president so far. When he ran in 2016 he was a newcomer to the political stage, so he was judged by a different yardstick. Presidents get elected first time on their rhetoric and their promises. Presidents get elected the second time for their results.
We'll that's a good question that I believe has a few different answers. Some people are just going to vote for the candidate of a particular party. After the end of President Obama's tenure was completed the rascist attacks had slowly taken a place in the minds of a lot of unsuspecting people who had never seen themselves in this light. Just got caught up in the rhetoric. Then there are others who listened to Trump talking about the alleged plans he had for the country and didn't get beyond the message and the man, had they actually vetted him the picture would have been fully developed and gone to the core of his history and not just a superficial snap shot.
1. Trumps who they want to be.
2. He's on the side of logic 75% kf the time even though he is a crook. But he a crook a high level that it doesn't affect them or it affects the other side.
3. Tribalism. They hate feminism SJW etc so they can't be on the opposite side of that.
4. policys. some people don't like the health care plan as well as the financial plan or personal security Of democrats.
5. they racist
My personal reason. Why waste a vote on a bigot democrat that's going to out gays and illgeals before my community. Biden isn't the lesser of 2 evils. He has ties to kkk just like trump. Trump at least offered scraps compared to nothing at all for a dedicated vote for 70 year
The corrupt establishment has forced Trump to happen. They brought this on themselves, and despite their incredibly costly never-ending smear campaign people are waking up to the truth. The establishment isn't after Trump, it is after us and our freedom, Trump is merely in the way. Fuck every single low information voting TDS loser who can't be bothered to find the truth. If you dont time to research politics on a regular basis then don't vote and don't scream opinions you adopted from the herd at other people

I’m not American, but Trump will always have my support until his Democrat opponent has the balls to condemn and plan to annihilate the radical Left who are burning their formerly admired country to the ground, and would do so even more if Biden wins and has their support 🇺🇸
He shows strong leadership. Most people in this country are uneducated and he’s smart. He knows what the type of leader the American people want and isn’t afraid to show it to the public. By showing aggression, he asserts dominance over Biden. That’s what idiots look for. On the other hand Biden and the Democrats are idiots too. The guy plays passive throughout the entirety of his campaign. Mans having trouble formulating a sentence mid debate. In conclusion this country is fucked regardless of who you vote for. and Americans should learn to accept that instead of attempting to “unite” the country every post election. Because it’s just not going to work. It’s like people saying they want to end racism. As long as blacks and whites exist, there will be no end.
Cause trump supporters are 90% followers. BLIND followers. Trump is like Greece's lead problem. They follow the idea so blindly that they don't realize its too damn late. LOL.
(For those who don't know the bath houses and pots were all plated WITH LEAD!!! Yet we still treat the Greeks as though they are the smartest in human history, they maybe are smart math and science wise. But health wise they are about as smart as a snail.)
The answers from these brainwashed trumptards living in an alternate reality is mind blowing. In their mind...
In short, these morons fell for the bullshit of a conman. Mind blowing, alternate reality, insanity.
It's not really about supporting him, it's more about being against democrats. I don't think Trump represents republicans very well... He's a funny guy, but not exactly a dignified professional politician.
The only thing I want to do in life is meet everyone on this site who support him and tell me what he did for the American people in these last 4 years and I want know why they support a hater like him, they must have some evil heart inside and they could be false Christians who live behind the Church, also no one has the balls to meet me even on Skype to debate me over Trump?
I support him because he scares the hell out of all the political insiders that have been fucking people like me over for decades. I like him because he puts American interests first unlike the Washington establishment. And best of all he passes off all those progressive snowflakes that think a white person eating Mexican food is somehow racist and wrong.
He is the only one who really supports the country and the working people. The other politicians all sell us out or are simply dumb. Look at all the politicians with huge houses and millions, Hillary no longer gets speaking engagements for $500,000 an hour since she is out of power.
A lot of it boils down to money. Many Americans are better off now financially then they were 4 years ago. COVID really threw a wrench in the works for people, but even so; they have fairly decent access to re-employment and the position they were in a start of the crisis was fairly stable.
Of course I noticed it. But I also noticed lower spending in some social programs.
CBO, January 2020 (before Covid):
"In 2020, CBO estimates a deficit of $1.0 trillion, or 4.6 percent of gross domestic product (GDP). Under current law, the projected gap between outlays and revenues increases to 5.4 percent of GDP in 2030. Federal debt held by the public is projected to rise over the coming decade, from 81 percent of GDP in 2020 to 98 percent of GDP in 2030. It continues to grow thereafter, in CBO’s projections, reaching 180 percent of GDP in 2050, well above the highest level ever recorded in the United States."
https://www.cbo.gov/publication/56050
Deficit spending makes sense when things are bad, like now, and during the Bush recession. When times are good, you're meant to try to reduce the deficit, like Obama did, and maybe even the national debt, like Clinton was lucky enough to achieve, before the Bush tax cuts reversed the trend.
He is PC, I grew up being forced to not say certain things that were the Truth, because it's not "PC". He is a total defiance of that. He's also a very good with business and has aided our economy. He makes a baffoon of the media as they try to tear him down. I've seen the disgusting lies the media pedals about society and life and am sick of it. He pushes back at them.
*He isn't PC
That's all they do to people who go against there agenda. He has earned respectful criticism for some of his actions, but they disrespectfully criticize all his actions. They constantly accuse him of lies because he proves them liars.
You should watch the new Borat movie, it's real footage and shows what it's like being in the vicinity of his supporters. It's incredibly insightful and downright hilarious!
I say most believe he is what he says he is that like him an the ones who hate him read the truths an learn the real facts but when some one likes there favotite president no 1 can make them feel therewrong about him
If you are super rich then it makes sense to support Trump for tax breaks.
If you are middle class and poor then its stupid to support Trump.
Most Trump supporters aren't very smart, nor educated people to begin with so they buy whatever bull Trump says to them as facts from heaven.
Really im a small business owner and my taxes are far better under trump than Obama. If your calling that trash that graduates from college these days educated then you are sorely mistaken. Just look how that leftist trash had been burning down cities ohh I'm sorry you leftists types like to call that peaceful arson
@captain_voidwalker: Those radical idiots aren't democrats but rather Marxists.
Secondly, those who riots and loot are a very small group of extremist and don't represent the whole party just like that far right idiots that set up fires shot up the Minneapolis police department don't.
www.theguardian.com/.../texas-boogaloo-boi-minneapolis-police-building-george-floyd
Thirdly, I'm not an affiliated to any political party. As far I'm concerned both the current democrat and republican party is trash.
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Didn’t you say your family supports Trump? Are your Aunt and Mother not smart?
@Jack9949: Well, my mom is definitely smart, but she supports Trump because according to her since Trump is against border country and strict immigration that he somehow will help the Dominican Republic with their immigration crisis at the border. I told my mom we are on our own. Trump isn't going to do nothing or aid D. R. but she believes he somehow will since he is the president of the U. S.
*is for border control
I support Trump, and I'd be willing to bet my entire bank account that my IQ is higher than yours.
@Alcoholic1992: Good for you. 😂
Trump is the first person in 100 years who cares more about what's good for America and the people than he does for himself, the way every other selfish, narcissistic politician does. if people would just vote them out instead of re-electing them over and over again for 50 years, things would get better
I won't argue your opinion because it is your entitlement. I am curious as to how you feel he isn't narcissistic? Most psychological health experts have stressed massive concern over his narcissistic tendencies that are extremely apparent when he speaks. Would you clarify?
Also I am Def not saying he's the only one with this issue on either side.
Because he gets the conservative agenda accomplished.
1l the why he talks, he talks like a everyday average person
2) he for the people not for the big money corporations
3) he actually does what he said he was going n to do
4) people have known for a long time that there's something wrong in Washington DC corruption has taken over, politicians are elected and go to Washington only to forget about the people the represent and procede to enrich themselves and Trump is cleaning al that up and people can see that
I lean right and he wasn’t my choice in the primary but I think it’s because he isn’t afraid to say what he wants to say. The right is so tired of the psychotic social justice warriors actually making an influence in our society so they elect someone who really makes them pull their hair out.
I don’t see why I should hate him. The things he does carry far more weight than what he says.
I think some of them think pretending to support him makes them look like better Christians or Jews a true God respecter hates Trump
How typical of a religious hypocrite. You say someone that respects a supposedly loving god should hate someone in the same sentence? I thought Christians aren't supposed to hate others but have love and compassion in their hearts. You're so full of shit. That's why I'm atheist, because of assholes like you.
@honestGUY45 Ignore them. I’ve met assholes who are atheist too.
Well, if I run across an atheist on here that constantly posts 'all things atheist' and says something that would contradict their beliefs, I'll call them out too.
@honestGUY45 fair enough
I cast my 2016 Primary Election vote for Ted Cruz. I cast my 2016 General Election vote for Trump. It was mainly because of Rick Wiles' of TruNews recommendation to do so at the time. But Rick was disgusted that Trump did not expose the Biden's involvement of sexual molestation of Chinese children
At his core, he does things that he believes are in the best interest of this country. He appears to love this country, unlike a lot of his opponents.
I dislike Trump but Trump makes sense more then Biden & Kamala and Trump never locked blacks up Biden and Kamala did lol but im not voting and never do but i wasn't for Trump nor was i for Hilary but today Trump makes sense
"Lawyers say they can't find the parents of 545 migrant children separated by Trump administration"
www.nbcnews.com/.../lawyers-say-they-can-t-find-parents-545-migrant-children-n1244066
No, I don't.
You know the Obama administration would separate families in "cases where the family relationship could not be established, child trafficking was suspected, or there were not sufficient family detention facilities available" (https://www. factcheck. org/2018/06/did-the-obama-administration-separate-families/ ) not with the intent to dissuade asylum seekers: "the attorney general at the time, Jeff Sessions, made it clear what Mr. Trump wanted on a conference call later that afternoon, according to a two-year inquiry by the Justice Department’s inspector general into Mr. Trump’s “zero tolerance” family separation policy.
“We need to take away children,” Mr. Sessions told the prosecutors, according to participants’ notes. One added in shorthand: “If care about kids, don’t bring them in. Won’t give amnesty to people with kids.”
Rod J. Rosenstein, then the deputy attorney general, went even further in a second call about a week later, telling the five prosecutors that it did not matter how young the children were. He said that government lawyers should not have refused to prosecute two cases simply because the children were barely more than infants." www.nytimes.com/.../...essions-rod-rosenstein.html
Certainly doesn't sound very pro-life to me.
I like Trump b/c he gives the military the funds it needs to win. I like that he lowers taxes. He defends constitutional rights. He doesn't bend to the will of haters and speaks his mind.
@goaded Win in the fight against Islamic Terror
@jakerson181 needs to enlighten us with President Trumps achievements 😉
because he is the only with the balls to go against the far left lunatics dominating the system for decades now.
Aside from Kashoggy deal and covid which he didn't take seriously (not like he should have) he has done a great job. I will vote for him again.
How about the fact that his taxcuts for the rich and corporations, has fucked normal everyday Americans. I can count on my hands and feet the people who it has hurt, and I'm one of them.
Because they are uneducated knuckle dragging apes who mother and fathers are brother and sisters.
@Nades- Sarcasm a free service i provide regularly.
Trump could cure cancer but the media would report that he took a vacation last summer and it delayed the final solution by 2 weeks
Probably because people are glad that a black man isn't running the country anymore and he got rid of the Mexicans so that is points for the whites.
You heard it more because you supported Obama. You don’t hear it as much with Trump because you think what is said is right.
African Americans will vote Democratic no matter who is running. 90% plus of them. If white people did that then only white people would win. African Americans are only 13 people out of a hundred. Whites are 68 people out of a hundred. Big difference.
@Jersey2 there are more black people in the world than what you think. I'm tired of people always viewing blacks as minorities. Just because white people took over the United states and told natives to go fuck themselves doesn't mean that whites still overpopulated the United states. Maybe in their delusional mind they do. And people do give Obama a hard time because he is black.
It doesn’t matter that “there are more black people in the world” than I think. They don’t get to vote in US elections, only the 13% of the IS population that is black do. Damn!
Secondly, Obama is bi-racial really. White mother, abandoned by black father of course (from Kenya, Africa not the US so not even African-American), raised by his white grandparents.
If you are going to have adult conversations at least educate yourself.
@Jersey2 well white people are not educated then because they still say that he is black because he doesn't hit the caucasian look. I think that you are just being in denial over the truth. If you have a black parent white people see that as that you are black. Read up on your history. Apparently you dont know nothing.
Well socialism is evil. Trump literally has to do nothing to earn my vote since he is anti socialism. That being said he more than earns it.
He’s a Republican and the best that we have I don’t ever vote for Democrats
Better than Biden, Clinton, Bush, and Obama. That's really not saying much though..
I support Trump because liberals are stupid as hell and ruining this country.
Because he is fanny and he has hot daughter and wife. He loves ufc and he seems to be nice when normal people, yeah he bashes people in power and then those people in power cry that how nasty and unkind he is. Yeah that's it.
Because Biden is even worse i voted already but had to hold my nose
i stand with trump because he is draining the swamp, and pulling our troops out of the middle east..
I like that he is pro life and he is a much better candidate than Joe Biden is.
He made it to where oversea abortions must be paid for from the pocket and not helped. He made it harder to attain too.
I support Trump because of his fabulous hair.
Because he’s appealing to most of there ideals
Because he puts the country ahead of politics.
No he puts politics ahead of the country.
@joshtheman He's not a politician. He's a businessman. Politicians depend on pretending they are doing something while accomplishing little or nothing, and then saying they will finish what they started - if they are re-elected. Businesspeople depend on "closing the deal". Trump has closed his deals (campaign promises) more than any president I can remember. He supports the country by closing the deals.
Blind faith in a broken system
Because communist China needs to be opposed.
Nobody in their right mind supports Trump.
Right so they vote for Biden against trump but don’t actually vote for Biden or his policies, just against Trump.
I hear byou@illuminatiexposed0. I voted for Biden and so did a hell of a lot of Americans.
