There isn't a issue with immigration in a wide scope of things. Many countries need immigration and immigration allowed for many nations to prosper in time. Its all the methods of how one enters a state. Many jump to the worst of the worst of people when taking about immigration but that is not always the case and that marginalized many that are highly qualified and are needed in developing industries. Like how ex nazis were used as scientists in the space program. Many skilled workers choose to immigrate for better opportunities and wages. Not defending either party on the political spectrum its just media pushes one idea and really runs with that narrative. The birth rate scale is only important if your looking at military or demanding industries.

Immigration is not a bad thing, when it's done correctly. The addition of people from other countries does offset a lower birth rate. The problem the US has now is uncontrolled immigration, where people are not properly vetted.

Just like you don't let random strangers into your home, proper immigration controls who comes in, and who doesn't.

Anyway, low birth rate is a stupid excuse for high immigration rates. Is there something wrong with a lot birth rate? We need LESS people, not more. If we completely stopped all immigration, it would take decades to get the population under control. By then the damage would already be done.
