Have most forgotten about the 10th Amendment of the US Constitution?

The first 10 amendments of the constitution are our Bill of Rights. They are foundational rights.

The 10th Amendment States:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

I think people fail to understand federal government overreach into state and local affairs. The power rests in the individual member states. The feds should not be in the business of handing out student loans, regulating education, or enacting laws that do not pertain to interstate conflicts. This also includes abortion. The power to decide is in the hands of the individual state, not the federal government as a whole.
