Yes a duty to themselves. For instance if you are short sighted and don't wear glasses you can see. If you are an amputee and don't wear a prosthetic you can't walk.

I'm real short if I don't use a stool or stepladder I can't reach up high. My husband is tall but isn't with me 24/7.
