Why do teenagers argue with you until the point they are right?

Call me crazy but could it because they are right?

I'd personally prescribed myself as a "know it all" person and if proven wrong, I will disappear in shame but not a second before. The worst part is when I know that I'm right but I can't put my finger on why it's making me angry. Also being able to communicate it is frustrating.

I had this with jury duty with a self defense case. The defense was justifiable by the wording of the law. As of Castle doctrine.

The whole thing got muddy up by renting vs hypothetically buying the property at somepoint. As a leftist i was off the charts pissed off but it took me a month to figure out why. Rights shouldn't be gated by economic class with renters class vs owner class. It's frustrating being right and anyone else having to pay the consequences of my failing to communicate.

So the too long didn't read the person dosen't know how to communicate but is learning how to as they go through it. Even if it's a year later. While getting angry at themselves about it.

I'm curious as to how old they are once they finally get around to being "right".

To an extent.

Teenagers can be, and sometimes are, "right".
Just not quite as often as they may think they are.

I'm 66.
I still sometimes think that I'm "right", when in fact I am not.
I'm working on it.
