Why is it that women hitting men is the symbol of bravery while a man hitting a woman as cruelty?

Because in the US, men are ALWAYS guilty perpetrators and are ALWAYS at fault, and women are ALWAYS innocent and are ALWAYS helpless victims. Therefore, women are automatically rewarded and men ae automatically punished no matter who was really at fault.
