Can someone explain to me what the deal is with White people getting so triggered on minorities' behalf?

This video has been bugging me since I came across it. If it was safe to do so, I would make a comment on it, but only one person agrees that the driver was being a complete snowflake. Like he's not a minority so why is being so bothered by her comments?

Some guy pulled up to my work once and said, "It's nice to see someone is hiring White men." Me and my co-worker just brushed it off. I've had people with swastika tattoos pull up to my work. I've had cab drivers in other countries trash talking other races, and I didn't react like this. As long as they aren't tash talking White people, I could care less honestly.

I never see a minority getting triggered on behalf of White people like this. Maybe only the Indian guy who was running for President defended us a few times, but THIS here is next level. It's quite pathetic honestly. I can't imagine this happening if both parties were black, or Asian or Latino, etc... Why would someone get offended over someone complimenting their race, especially someone from THEIR OWN race.

And these people have every right to have prerferance towards White drivers.

Maybe it is ME who is the abnormal one, because aside from that one guy, I seem to be the only one who can't understand why the driver is so triggered here. Then he had the nerve to file a police report and ruin their lives. The guy didn't even touch him. Americans are so soft. If I was the passenger I would feel betrayed as well. We can't even count on our own race anymore to have our backs anymore. The guy is Whiter than me😂 Shame on him honestly.

That's fine, but my question wasn't whether or not you agree with the driver, but why he did what he did. I honestly don't see anything wrong with her initial comment.

It never occurred to you that maybe they're racist for a reason.
