Upper class and rich if you were to average it out across America.
My net worth about $600,000 not including equity so im all liquid like stocks and cash. That makes me about 90th percentile of wealth not including equity like property, land real-estate, luxury goods.
So only about 2,500,000 people are wealthier then myself. At 31 it's a solid retirement plan but I still got the same day job before my inheritance split in half with my brother.
Doing that math it's kinda off the charts how 90th is half a million. 97th is comfortable retirement of life time of saving a million and 98th 99th and above is off the charts 500 million plus. So only about 1,000,000 people are that wealthy to say upper class.
Out of 8,000,000,000 people living. From there 117,000,000,000 who has ever lived. Million total would be considered high class wealthy.
Another way to say the same thing. to even get to comfortable retirement with a life time savings is comparable to kings and queens of history for the same buying power that is slipping away buying groceries for the average person.
Then there's the modern day upper class. That is basically how off the charts the wealth inequality is today.
I agree with exit here.
500,000 per year is enough. Take home 300, 000!
Upper class like 1%? You’d need to make a minimum of 7 figures in a year.
Upper middle class would be anywhere from $900k to $250k
