Both economic harm, and criminal harm is measurable from the group, as a whole. Is it a violation of human rights to stop them, or a violation of human rights to not stop them?

Territorial sovereignty is a basic human right. Regardless if illegal immigrants are making the country better or worse. But to have measurable harm is a separate human rights violation. Even if illegal immigrants, as a group, have a lower per capita offense rate, anything above 0 equals additional crime that the country should not have experienced. And any net economic harm, whether it's through taxes, government costs, wage lowering, housing cost increases, etc... is an additional human rights violation as it causes extra burden on the native population. The native population has a basic human right to oppose it and enforce laws against it.
