If a man and women are in a traditional marriage, Meaning he works, She does not, she is a stay at home wife, What is the division household of labor?

So here is the hypothetical. Married couple, Man is the provider, works 8 to 10 hours per day. Pays all the bills, including anything related to her car. She is a stay at home wife, She does not work, does not contribute to household finances at all. What should the division of household labor be?

Note, there are no children in this situation if you ask about kids, i will assume you didn't read the question and delete your comment.

I think husband 10% and wife 90% is a pretty good generalization. Of course it'll vary from situation to situation. It's similar to me and my husband right now, although I do usually work a paid job for a few hours a week. I pretty much do all of the house cleaning and yard stuff. We hire someone to mow our lawn. He takes care of most of the odd maintenance type chores, such as changing out light bulbs and refrigerator filters, etc. Fairly often he will help me declutter as well. Cleaning is really easy, but organizing all the crap that we accumulate over the week from all our activities is not something I'm great at, so I appreciate when he helps me out there.

Well I'm a stay at home mother. I generally do most of the household chores. That's the laundry, cooking, cleaning and childcare. It's actually not a big deal as I've it mostly all done before 11am-12 noon. He helps out when he comes home, I don't have to ask him but I like everything to be done before he gets home as that's our time. He does the house, car and outdoor maintenance stuff.

Whatever system they work out together. In a typical traditional marriage, since the wife is at home more, she usually accomplishes more of the household work, close to 70-30 is probably typical.

It should be 100% wife but modern women are progressive spoiled and lazy even when not busy with a baby, and given labor saving devices to do most of the historic work.

10% minimum 25% maximum. Besides, the husbands often do a lot of the yard work, deal with the technical issues and the heavy lifting so I think that is a good compromise.
