Everyone puts their own items in their respectable place, after use.

Repairs are by whoever is willing, or whoever it broke down upon lol

Certainly the one who would know how to fix it best.

‘General facilities’ duties are split by whoever is willing to take it up.

I’ve always been the house sweeper/mopper.

It’s an odd “hobby.”

I do like- three coats of cleansing/ sanitation. Floor looks brand new every time. 💋 👌I’ve even done pictures of the before and after. I’ve LAID on the kitchen floor and was tempted to eat a piece of food off of it

because I am that much CONVINCED it was as clean as ‘Heavenly air,’ or something lol

It does sound odd in typing this with retrospect, but eh. I still love it. 😝

I mean. Once after mopping- I seen my own reflection in the floor. I promise I’m not hallucinating or like- BECOMING the floor 😂 I just love to do a good job. It’s like asmr, or something.

People should love working hard, and doing a good job that they can.

NO ONE cleans the floor like I do. That is my pride. 😂 I’m done talking about this. It’s gone too far lmao

I basically do it all since I'm a stay at home mom that's like my job. My husband will occasionally help if I ask him tho

My mom sat down with the wives of my brothers and mine to very specifically tell them that her sons “know how to cook and clean and do their own laundry and take care of the lawn and paint a whole house” so don’t ever let them take advantage by not doing their fair share of the housework.

every household has its share of work that needs to be done daily so whoever has the time they do it. It’s a cooperative effort, maintaining the home for the whole family. In my perspective there’s no “that’s men’s work” or “that’s her job”. Fair is fair, share and share alike.

the only thing I couldn’t do was breastfeed. All other chores are fair game. When kids hit adolescence the mom or dad guides the daughter or son through it respectively and appropriately.

thats all the division of labor that there should be by gender.

We dont in our marriage. It just gets done. Such chores are really just responsibilities. You either grow up and learn responsibility, or you dont.

I lived alone for many years. Learned basics like cooking, laundry, fixing things, cleaning. Maintaining an orderly lifestyle was and is important to me.

My wife did not grow up the same way and after 10 years I realize its foolish of me to expect that she prioritizes domestic chores the way i do. I can't teach her to be someone she's not. So, for our marriage anyway, I do most of it- if anything, simply because its what I know and want.

I work the farm, a job, and pay all the bills

She takes care of the house stuff, makes my meals for lunch and dinner, mends clothing, makes simple stuff toys for the kids.

Basically, I make the money and she takes care of me

My wife only works a few times during the year, She does officiating for Volleyball and Softball. Where i on the other hand work 50 to 60 hours per week. So during the week she handles chores, and on the weekend i handle chores. On that same token, when she does work i pick up the slack and make sure she has a hot meal to come home to.

I dont know the percentages but we split it up pretty evenly, we take care of each-other.

My wife and I don't really "split", we just do what needs doing. I work weekends, and she has weekends off, so we just doing things that need doing when they need doing, and this works for us.

She is a professional cleaner though, so she does a better and faster job than me.

We split it evenly. Sometimes it happens that one does more than the other. More than once I cleaned the entire house myself while my wife was out. She has done the same thing also.

But most days we split like she cooks I clean, she dusts I vacuum, etc.

I work remotely. My wife takes care of most of the household stuff -- shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry. It's a two-bedroom apartment, so it's not a lot to do.

She does everything at home while I work. It’s what works for us, been that way for 13 years. Not to say I don’t help but I also do the yard which is maybe 2 1/2 backyards plus the front yard.
