What is the difference between a labor union and a corporation?

In both cases, it's just a bunch of people who get together to acquire money. The labor union tries to get more money and benefits from employers, and the corporation tries to get it from the public or from other businesses.

Yet for some reason, the right wing thinks the labor union is "communist", and the corporation is "OK" and "Just a normal business".

Why is that?

Because republicans are full of corporate lobbyists, Ronald Reagan is their golden child and he was extremely anti-union, despite benefitting directly from it when he was an actor in the screen guild. They’re just following in the footsteps of their idols.

The corporations can fire if they don't like for whatever reason. The unions prevent employees from being fired unfairly. I have seen people in a union job just sitting around doing nothing all day because they know they won't get fired for sleeping on the job. Some people tend abuse those privileges of being in a union which is why corporation are so against unions because you can't fire them as easily.

I never said it was communist. They have labor unions in Nordic countries and they are not a communist country. Socialist countries, but not communist. I am not saying it is a bad thing all I am saying is it has flaws just like with anything.

Corporations own or partially fund the media and politicians, which control the narrative. Putting those people against each other who would benefit from a union. To keep the average worker poor and the corporations rich.

I have been a member of two unions and have worked for several different corporations. I can tell you the company only wants to make money and the unions only want to protect the the highest seniority members. The average worker is in his own regardless of union/no union.

FIFO is simply the correct response to a mostly zero sum game. The new guys get what can be negotiated but the seniors will preserve what they have. Simple economics.

A corporation pays workers to work in he form of paychecks. A labor union gets paid by workers in the form of union dues.

I have no idea. I've never used those terms to describe corporations and unions.
I could possibly see someone saying something like that. Unions are out to protect every worker, which often means settings standards for the lowest quality worker, whereas corporations try to reward the highest quality worker.

Corporations derive profit from producing goods a services, labor unions derive profit from advocating from their members tht work for those aforementioned corporations.
