I have the day off. I think about my WW2 veteran father and all the other guys that lived in my neighborhood. They have all died but I imagine that wherever they are they are happy the country put Trump back in the White House.

I scheduled work for the day but when my wife went to the hospital in critical condition I canceled all my jobs for the week. I can't ever get a break

Now I really don't want tomorrow to come.
I've SOB for a month.
They said my pump is at 35-40% and should be at 55-65%.
I rode my bike a whole lot. Then got hit by a car last year walking across the parking lot of an Auto Express by their employee.
Couldn't work, my car got repod after 4.5 months and I gained 30 pounds.

It's killing me.

No. I will be in church on Rememberance Sunday and off on Rememberance/vetreans day. I will cook a good roast on Sunday. I have ancestors who fought in the great war& Second world war, Korean war and war on terror. I will wear my poppy. My husband is vetrean.

I'm retired, but if I was still working, Veterans Day (Remembrance Day in some other countries) is a holiday, and I would have the day off.

It's important to remember that the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month is when the Armistice that ended the Great War (World War I) officially went into effect, and that's the day that is remembered (not celebrated) in many countries around the world.

Ya know, I am glad that you brought this up. I have always believed that Veterans should get Veterans Day off from work!! That would be like saying a big "Thank you for your service"!!!

My close friend fought in the Vietnam war and said that when the war was over, nothing happened at all. Like just another day.

The old TV shows show confetti 🎊🎊🎈🪅🎉🧨 and made a really big deal about it.

It really bummed him out that nothing at all happened 😔

No I'm a full-time student, so no working that day. I might try to study for my upcoming midterms and spend time with my mom since she's off that day (she's a teacher so no work), and maybe work on a paper for another class.

Never knew that when I went to college to study education.
I raised my little sister (she also became a teacher). She was so fun and easy to teach so I guess i would just do that. No guidance from friends or family.

Remembrance Day today the closest Sunday to the 11/11 with the parade at the Cenotaph in London and around the country with two minutes silence at 11am. Also a lot of people will commemorate on the 11/11 at 11am.
