Have you ever done Jury Service. If not is it something you'd like to do one day. I know I would?

I was called 3 times picked twice. I was nervous and dreaded it as an unpassionate duty or even unwelcome choir. Ending the last time I saw how important it was.

As much as we can write and argue what laws are it boils down to what the jury of peers. So we as the people might not have direct control of what our laws are but we do have a direct response how to respond to them. So do we want stuffy elites who all had flights to epstein island decided what is or isn't rape. Or have 12 everyday people make that assertion. Really does shape our every day lifes in ways I never say it before.

Even having 12 jurys is important as any ONE person can't unilaterally control everything but everyone in that jury is creating the what they want from there local area.

I did. I didn't like how it works, not my version of how life should be. but glad I saw it so I have context. can't imagine those whom are on really bad trials like OJ's trial, or George Floyd police.

It was troubling to hear what happened, see how tragic life can be and make decisions about someones life.

What bummed me out is there is no engagement with the people... the sources of the problems were obvious and could be solved with community support, discipline, training, education. As it is... peoples lives were thrown away.

most problems are preventable... and lives fixable. instead, we waste so much $ and time

The first time I ever had it, they put me on the jury for 3 days. It was summer so I was out of school at the time and I worked at night so it wasn't any inconvenience. I've had very good luck since then not having to be there long or even go at all.

I did once. I was still in the police equipment business and I told the court officer that the arresting officer was one of my customers. I got dismissed.

I have been called for jury duty 4-5 times. Thankfully I have never been selected.

Mope. I got out of it by telling them I had no way to get there but that if they wanted to pay for a cab I would be happy to come there.
