School board members and local officials should be required to state which party my support.

What? I have no clue how school works in US.
But in no way should ever a school have political indoctrination of any kind. It should be the same for religion but alas that does exist here sadly.

These things shouldn't exist and should be illegal.
People in schools whether kid or teacher like here should be allowed to express opinions for both sides, but that's it expressed an opinion.

I wish they would investigate parents. Maybe then child abuse would be less and caught sooner before it's too late.
So I don't see a negative in that besides ya know not investigating all parents equally.

Whether the teacher is right or left they can teach maths or English what they decide to vote on, or agree with policies above that has nothing to do with the capability teach.

If my kid comes home and he's getting good grades because the teacher is teaching him. I don't care what they agree with politically or if they somehow got government to investigate me let it be so they'll find out I ain't doing much that's lawfully wrong.

None of the above. I don't know how it works in the US but I think people should have their political beliefs private if they want to.
When it comes to school districts and all the whatever that goes with it, so long as there is a clear curriculum, clear ethics code
I guess and the people hired do the job do it well, I wouldn't care who votes for who or what.

Which states? Source? It's against the law in NY to identify with a party OFFICIALLY for school board elections; most people know the politics & position of candidates.

I think it's extremely important to not get carried away with political ideologies or aspirations. Sustainable change *MUST* come from personal responsibility, not top-down from authority. This is true from the White House all the way down to the school house.
